i don't like street fighter, but if I had to choose it would be Akuma.

Even if he's quite slow, he has some good moves... I like to do the Lighting attack thing when my rival is near to me and about to hit me... Hehe.

My favorite is Ryu! I use him in Marvel VS Capcom too!!

I find Ryu very fun to use but I also like E.Honda and his whole 100 Hand Slap thing. One thing though about Ryu: I could never pull off a Shoryuken whenever i wanted to. It always did it whenever I didn't want him to Shoryuken and I wanted him to Hadouken.

My favorite male street fighter is Ken and female is Ibuki

I don't play street fighter much but my favorite character would have to be Makoto or Juri ?  I'm not really sure yet since I don't have an solid fighter in the series.

My favorite street fighter character is a tie between ken and akuma they both have good moves although ken and Ryu are just alike in every way i just like ken more.

My favorite male characters are Cody and Ken.  My favorite female characters are Chun-Li, Cammy, and Blair Dame(she's from the EX series.)

I'd have to do a top 5 list.

5..Chung Li... One of the first Fighting Females to appear in video games.
4..Cammy... One of the best stories for a character. (Hench-woman gone rouge. It works.)
3..Sakura... Comedy Trumps allot for me and she's a fun alternative to the "Ryu clones".
2..Dan... He makes me Laugh. How many people can use an autograph for a weapon?
1..Akuma...A secret Character Gone Wild.
This Guy is the Tuffest dude in the street fighter universe and possibly the entire game world.
He started out as a bonus or gimmick. Currently he's a legend. Not bad. With "Fists that can kill a god???"
Of all the secret characters like Reptile, Dark Sakura, Evil Ryu, Noob Saibot??
I have to go with my first secret character. That is Akuma. If you can not loose a single match you can see him in super street fighter 2. There is also a trick way you can play as him but I forgot how to do it. (It envolved putting a cursor over specific characters for a few specific seconds at the character select screen in a specific order.)
The few times you passed the arcade and saw that glyph on screen you stopped everything to watch. Somebody got to the end of street fighter 2 and did not loose a single "round".
Like a fight breaking out in School People would swarm and circle the arcade booth. It was amazing. Didn't matter who won. We just wanted to see this. Nobody knew anything about Akuma fro years. Dark Link has that same thing going on right now. (Why Nintendo does not have the brains to exploit that character and give him a story is beyond me. Seriously. Just check out all the inappropriate stuff on you-tube. Anything to stop that please. If I see Link kiss another Dark Link again, I will consider boycotting Nintendo Till it stops.)

After Akuma there were secret characters everywhere in fighting games.

My favorites are Ryu (normal and Evil) and Akuma....but mainly Ryu

I think my past layouts ended up showing my opinion her quite well, but to just tell for those who don't know, my favorite is Poison. Yes, I know her history, her stories, and the whole controversy about her. My response? So what, it just makes her a more interesting characters than the rest of them, Nya~.

Akuma is my favorite.  That guy has moves and combos that are awesome to look at and his design looks really cool, really gives Ryu a run for his money, lol.
