I was curious, does anyone else watch this? Like RAW, Smackdown or any of the PPV's? If so, who are your favorite wrestlers? Please don't reply with "that's so fake", etc. I want a mature conversation. Thank you.
My favorite wrestlers: Randy Orton John Cena Edge Bella Twins Melina Kelly Kelly My favorite wrestlers: Randy Orton John Cena Edge Bella Twins Melina Kelly Kelly |

I watch it but I don't enjoy it. The John Cena angle where he got fired is so pathetic now. If he's "fired" then let him be fired for a week or 2 at least.... don't bring him back the following week. |

Yeah that john cena angle is bad, I heard they are wanting to do JUAN CENA... cena with a mask... I saw the pictures and it looked like a horrible gimmick. They just trashed the nexus angle though now no one will take it seriously. If I had to guess I would say there going to have a new match if cena wins he gets hired if barret looses he has to quit nexus. |

JigSaw - That would be a good angle to go with. I'd laugh if that happened. I think the should wait too for a few weeks and then have John come back. I mean, just saying, would make it more interesting. |

hrm, I guess I'll add to my post.
I liked the Nexus.... except that they've switched people in and out a bit too much for my liking, and they haven't been dominant enough. Sure they did some run-ins and stuff... but they didn't "ruin" the show as much as they should have. People I like: Edge Orton Cena John Morrison Daniel Bryan (BRYAN DANIELSON! FTW!) Evan Bourne People I dislike: Michael Cole The Miz The Nexus I'm sure there are more but I can't think of anyone.... I hate Michael Cole because he has got such an ego for doing absolutely NOTHING. I hope Jerry Lawler smacks the s*** out of him next week on Raw. I know Lawler wouldn't win.... but come on... just let Miz beat him. And I'm tired of that damn computer. Just pick someone to be the manager already. I guess the things I hate are "good" in their own way.... if I don't care about something then it's not a good angle. Still he's an annoying ass that needs to go. I like CM Punk as an announcer.... I wonder what he injured though to make him not wrestle anymore. I watch all WWE programming, despite a lot of the storylines being ridiculous, such as the John Cena angle. I really enjoyed Nexus in the beginning, but they're so weak now. A lot of times it just feels like the writers don't care anymore...
Anyway, my favourite wrestlers are: Trish Stratus, Lita, John Morrison, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Edge, Beth Phoenix, Kelly, Natalya, Tyson, DH, Bryan Danielson, Evan Bourne, Sheamus, Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel. I can't stand Alica Fox, Lay Cool, Cole or the Miz. I PVR all the shows, so I can skip them completely. Having Miz as the champ...The belt just has no meaning to me anymore. "Having Miz as the champ...The belt just has no meaning to me anymore. "
The fact that people have held the title 6-10 times in the last 5 years bothers me. Ric Flair held about 16 or 17 world titles over 30-40 years. People are hitting half of that title total in about 1/8th of the time. That bugs me. Sure, title changes are interesting but giving the title to someone like Miz.... give me a break. I think it would have been 10 times better if Miz had gone for the title and lost. Whatever, WWE has lost its luster for me. It's dry. Most of the really great wrestlers/characters are gone. The people who got WWE through the late 90's and into the 2000's have almost all retired or are so rarely seen that they don't count. Beyond Edge, Underatker, Kane, HHH.... who else is there? Of any significance I mean. And Undertaker and HHH are almost never around anymore because they seem to be perpetually hurt. It's sad =/. I'm not saying I want them to go back to all the old wrestlers who can't do it anymore.... but the guys they have now are too green. Some of them are good, but most are still pretty average. Well its not miz's fault really. People started cheating ever since the money in the bank thing Ever since that started people have been winning the title in like 5 seconds after their opponent is beat up from a match. Now they have 2 MITBs.... I heard they are going to unify the belts meaning there will only be one world championship/wwe belt. Could help but idk...
Oh well all I can say is its nice to see the belt flip flop like a fish, it gets boring when one person has belt for a long time. Orton / Cena should never get another belt again. It really is sad that all these hall of famers never won a belt in their entire career due to belt hogs. If anything, that has what has killed wrestling most. I'm okay with the belt switching hands and I'm okay with it happening on a semi-regular basis.... but when someone like Cena has 2-3 title reigns in a single year it gets annoying. The major titles become meaningless.
And yeah, it's not Miz's fault... I just think he's a douche Yeah, Money in the bank was just another excuse to give people a push who hadn't earned it. Back in the day people actually had to put time into the business before they got the heavyweight title. There are other titles that people can get earlier. Take Sheamus. He was in WWE for under a year I think and he got a heavyweight title. Put him on something else first.... now the only thing he can realistically go for is the heavyweight title.... you've screwed over his character. And yeah, it's not Miz's fault... I watched this when I was like 12 and then after that I realized this is a whole bunch of guys acting like they are hurt in their under wear. I then decided not to watch it ever again. My favorite was of course, Stone Cold Steve Austin. |

They could wear some extra clothes. But people should not be so quick to calling it fake, everything is fake on tv its all scr The old era was more real though as far as actually being hurt, people taking chair shots to head etc... Watch behind the mat to see how much sacrifice they put their bodies through. PG era might suck for some, but I think its a big benefit on the wrestlers side considering they will be taking less bumps from foreign objects. It's kinda smart thing to do as well you cant afford to loose a top guy for months on end with an injury. Whether they fake an injury in ring or not there is a good chance they are always hurting in pain, traveling constantly, no off seasons, etc. The old era was more real though as far as actually being hurt, people taking chair shots to head etc... I agree. Just because it's "fake" or "scr Not only do they go through physical pain, and yes accidents do happen even if it's scr So whether it's "fake", work is still involved in this form of entertainment. I usually watch it but I liked it way better several years ago. I personally have to watch TNA just to see my all time favorite anymore, which is Rob Van Dam. And I agree that the belt goes to the same old people way to many times now: Cena, Orton, Cena, Orton, etc...
My favorites in order I suppose are/were: Rob Van Dam Drew Galloway(McIntyre), he was pretty good in IWW Sheamus, same reason as above HHH Shawn Michaels Randy Orton Undertaker Ric Flair British Bulldog People I dislike: John Cena, way overrated in my opinion The Miz Laycool And many, many more I can't think of right now. Kerubi : I watch TNA as well. What do you think of what they're doing over there? I personally think the storylines are more interesting but the people they have are either too new or too old to be great. And some people aren't being used very well.... but still, I enjoy TNA a lot more than WWE... especially since some greats recently retired or are close to it. |

SunflowerGaming : I use to cover wrestling so I watch regularly but I grew up with it. The era I grew up with was considerably better though compared to now but it’s still good… The pay-per-views are very expensive though. Back in the day there wasn’t as many pay-per-views and they were a little cheaper than what they are now.
I miss the old days… Sometimes I even catch myself on Saturdays looking to turn on TBS looking for WCW… I miss the old days… Sometimes I even catch myself on Saturdays looking to turn on TBS looking for WCW… |

I used to enjoy watching WWE (I remember when it was WWF). However, as I've gotten older, my interest in it has waned considerably. It's cartoons for adults but I don't like a lot of what they've been doing (moral-wise and story-wise). It's too ridiculous for me now. Besides, everyone I liked is dead, old, or just gone. |

geeogree : I like TNA as well and I feel as if they have a lot more potential than WWE has at the moment. It seems like a lot of the wrestlers know that as well as I've seen a ton of WWE guys head on over to TNA but not really anyone moving to WWE. I agree that TNA has better storylines as well, keeps my attention better than WWE does. I believe that they might eventually make themselves as well known as the WWE if they keep improving and keep it entertaining. |

yeah... they have the potential to do that.... it'll probably be 3-5 years before that is true though.
Yeah, there have been a couple of moves from TNA to WWE.... R Truth and CM Punk were both in TNA.... same with the season 2 winner of NXT... can't remember his name because he's changed it so many times but I knew him as Loki/Senshi. The number of WWE/WCW guys coming to TNA is 2-3 times that many at least. And I truly hope that TNA starts to rival WWE. If for no other reason than WWE acknowledges TNA and puts more effort into their own product. Yeah, there have been a couple of moves from TNA to WWE....
