In Heartgold I can't beat that darn Lance!!! I need your help to beat him. First things first: do I have the right Pokemon? The Pokemon I use for the league are:

Typhlosion level 56 Moveset: Lava Plume, Strength, Blast Burn, and Flamethrower.

Ho-Oh level 55 Movset: Extrasensory, Punishment, Fire Blast, and Sacred Fire.

Red Gyrados level 36 Moveset: Waterfall, Dragon Rage, Surf, and Dragon Pulse.

So, do I have the right Pokemon for the Lance battle? Please answer this.

After you answer that, all you have to do is give me any extra tips that I might take into consideration. It can be any kind of tip, or something I can do to make my Pokemon better for the battle. That's all, folks (credit to Porky the pig LOL)! Thanks for your help!

First two are great, last one's O.K., and last three are missing! lol.

You just need more pokemon, preferably with Ice moves, or Lightning if you can get to Lance. And they should be at least level 40. And maybe one weaker one, so that if one faints, you can sacrifice that one to revive your main fighter. If you want, you can go in with some of your Pokemon about 3-5 levels under where you want them to be, so they can gain those while fighting to Lance, if you know what I mean.

Tips? I recommend about 5-10 revives, 10-15 hyper potions, and maybe 5-10 full heals. You can have Gyarados learn Thunder and Blizzard, or get a Sneazel or something. Hope this helps! =D
