Is music and the music industry better in the old days or today. Most people say that music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and even 90's was better, but people from today espically younger kids and teens say music is better now. To me it varies, I mean music today isn't bad, the problem is today's music doesn't make any sense. Most music today is either techno, pop, or emo and screamo. None of the lyrics in songs make any sense or have any sort of symbolism and values. Those genres are not the only problem. In the old days of hip hop, hip hop songs were very realistic and dark, but now most rap songs are about getting in the clubs and hooking up or having sex. I don't mean to criticize music today, those are just my observations. To me most music and artist from the old days were actually really good. People like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, John Lennon, Notorious B.I.G. and etc were some of the reasons for my love of popular music. If u have different opinions please leave a comment or two.
