I have made 3 well established around the neighborhood games.

1. No see-er - 3 people+ - Hide and go seek on the streets, with the Cars, Dogs, and People being it. Losers had to be pushed down a hill in a compost bin. While playing, you must be moving at all times except for when you're hiding from cars.

2. Hats off - 2 people+ - Horseshoes with hats and the pegs are people. You spin a hat towards somebody, and it has to land on their head.

3. Pringles crush - 2 people+ - Requires a can of Pringles. You take a large knife, and a stack of Pringles, you put the stack on a cutting board, and you crush the Pringles with the sharp point of the knife. You get to eat how many you didn't stab, the rest get thrown out.

Oh wow! Those games sound really fun and yet so original alexanyways. When me and my friends were kids we all thought Jackass (the show and movie) were really cool and would act out what they would do. We invented a game called 'Jackass Dodge Ball' where its normal dodge ball (1 v. 1) but with a basketall and any hit counts! The rules were 3 hits and your out and after that the person who lost gets what we called a "finish him" where you get to throw the ball at him again but he can't move! Man did we do some stupid stuff as kids but it was popular on our block and all the kids wanted to play with us! Good/Dumb times!

Haha wow, really!? I think playing with medicine balls is way crazier than the way we played with basketballs!

Oh haha yeah, I saw that in their second movie, that was one of the craziest stunts and also one of the funniest. Those medicine balls hurt man and are nothing to mess with. haha

Murder Mystery: 4-8 people.

Get a hat or something to hold slips of paper. Have all the slips blank except for two. On one write detective and on one write murderer. Now have all the players begin drawing slips. If the player gets a blank slip, they are a regular person. If they get murderer, there the murderer and if detective they obviously be the detective. Whoever got detective announces it to the group. Everybody else does not say what they are. Now what happens is you get all the players except the detective in a really dark area in your house or wherever you are so they cant see. Use a section of your house like the upstair and turn off all the lights. Now the murder goes around in the dark and touches one of the players. If touched, the player screams and everyone stops, turns on the lights, and the murdered player remains on the floor dead. Once everyone is together after the murder, they must find out who did it. Since only the murderer knows who he is everyone else has to find out. The detective then asks questions trying to figure out who the murder is. The game ends once he finds out or the murder confesses.

Edit: Obviously, the detective does not partake in the dark room part and can not be murdered. Also, regular players can tell testimonies on what they saw or heard.

So yeah thats the game. :p

And there used to be a famous "Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer" that darkhyren closed as it was too stupid, without even asking me.

For real life games, I didn't think of much, there was one idea as a young kid called "Sun and rain" where clouds have to try and gain power by "water vapor (That are on the sun's team)" and once they are powerful, they have to try and capture the sun to win.

Clouds get defeated after a few mins (sun goes down ) .

But I never played this game before as nobody liked my idea, and now I only improved it a bit.

We never made a name up for it, but its basically hide and go seek on a bigger scale.
We would play it at the elementary school and the park near my house.
But basically you get 10+ friends and decide which 2 people will be "it" first.
Then you give the 2 people who are "it" a tennis ball each.
Make them count to whatever number you choose.
And you can either be tagged by hand or by the tennis ball.

I've made up 1 game.

I don't think I could explain it well in this thread, but it is sorta like soccer, with the ability to hold the ball, but only walk backwards while holding it.

Other than that, I haven't made up any real-life games

I made up several card games a while back, and neglected to keep track of them, so oh well . I enjoy making new card games. It's not too hard, but you probably will find out later your game has already been invented .

supernerd117 : Yeh I made a lot of games with cards. One is where you put all the 52 cards face down and you have to match them with the same card that was first picked up...same number different suite..It was a favorite of mine that I got my younger siblings addicted to.

My cousins and I made up a game at least 5 years ago. It's probably similar to something else, but we didn't really care. We call it "Risk."

They have a circular pool. One person is "It" and must sit on the ladder. Two opposite ends of the pool are the bases. The line straight ahead from the ladder is perpendicular to the line from one base to the other. The bases are safe zones. The goal is to swim to the other base.

Each time you get to a base, you get a point. If the person who is "It" catches you in between bases, you are "It" and you lose all of your points. If the person who is "It" leaves the ladder and everyone else returns to the bases, then it is a "free run." People can swim back and forth as much as they want until the person who is "It" returns to the ladder. The record we have is over 100 points set by one of my cousins.

We play Risk when volleyball in the pool gets boring and it's too hot to leave the pool.

Fun "board" games

I've made plenty in my child hood. Can't remember any of them now sadly. Although one game Alex described is something me and my friends used to play like 10 years ago. It was always fun to hide from cars on the street. It was hard sometimes because we didn't have a lot of cars as cover.

i made hand soccer ball although i prefer feet it's exactly the opposite of soccer no feet balls allowed

I've always been passionate about making my own games (mostly computer games), but sadly very few of them ever made it past the infamous "drawing board."

The one game I can tell you I finished to the point of playing with someone else was a little pirate-based board game. I even made my own board with a piece of printer paper, some crayons, and a hole puncher.

The game was based on the concepts of pirates being trapped in a ghost sea: whenever you try to leave the board you're automatically transferred to the opposite end instead, like a typical video game. The game had a simple little RPG system, with players drawing poker cards to determine stats which if I recall right were Strength, Defense, and Charisma. Rum was used to pay for things, including taking over other players' islands, of which there were four: one for each possible player. The goal was to get enough Charisma (which you needed all four islands to train) to gain control of an archipelago in the center of the map and dive into a maelstrom that frees you from the ghost sea, trapping the other players in it without you. That player is the winner.

I only played it once, though I am planning on remaking it, with my cousin. He throttled me because the game's system made it extremely easy to conquer other players' islands and gain enough Charisma to win within minutes. He had fun, though, which was really encouraging. After he won, he ran off to tell his parents and everything about it. Like I said, I want to remake the game, maybe make a computerized version.

I haven't made one, but I have helped refine one.
It's called Assassins, and you need a lot of people and a large place to play.
You'll need one person to be the moderator. They choose and monitor positions within the game and call when a round is over.
The moderator then picks two guards and three assassins. The guards are given flashlights to signify their role. The assassins are trying to kill everyone but the guards, who can't be killed. The guards are trying to find the assassins, and everyone else is trying to stay alive. The assassins go around killing people by touching them and saying "you're dead". The guards can accuse someone of being an assassin, but if they're wrong, the accused person dies. Normal people can help find the assassins, or can avoid everyone until the game ends in an effort to stay alive. The game ends when the assassins are all caught or everyone but the guards and assassins is dead. Roles are then re-picked and given to some of last round's normal people, and play continues until you're done.

Nope, I'm not inventive enough for it! Although, my goal does involve making a good game everyone uses to post in.
