The type I'm most likely to play is a clash between rpg & adventure. Since rpgs sometimes get played-out for me with the random battles I chose adventure. Since Zelda is already posted on poll choice I'll list Alundra for PS1.

RPGs. Love 'em. It takes a special kind of RPG for me to not like it. Why the traditional style of RPG is being fazed out is beyond me. Yes they don't need to have the same format because there is new technology, but and good old fashion style RPG I would think would still be welcome in today's market. You don't need to reinvent the wheel.

Although sidescrollers are a close second. I'm OCD for MegaMan games as long as they are 2D. Although the best mix of MegaMan and RPG was the Battle Network games. Command Mission was okay, but way too short for a game in this day and age.

nowadays for the new consoles mine is sports games but thats mainly because platform games aint as good as what they used to be imo,you cant beat the classic platformers

I used to be all for shooters but now i'm all about RPG's since they are the ones that are becoming more engaging and creative. I like the story. I can get into a game that is all about fun gameplay but I really love games where there's something more than killing monsters or solving puzzles. The ratio of RPGs to other games in my collection is huge..

I would also say Action-Adventure and RPG in a dead heat. I like the Legend Of Zleda Games too. They are awesome. I would also say Third-person action/adventure, like God of War and Resident Evil 4 are awesome too.
