Oh, so you ment the Patriot Act... well, I agree with you there. That entire thing is f***ing bulls*** that just strips us of our constitutional rights.

The main ones would be the rights assured us by the first, fourth, and sixth amendment of the Constitution.

There are other things too, such as immigration and checks and balances. I found a website that gave good details on all the current threats to liberties that the Patriot Act poses.

I personally don't believe in invades those rights. Other wise the supreme court would have over turned it.

A little off topic, but back to Terry Shivo for a sec, there was some pretty fishy stuff there. The family wasn't allowed to bring cameras into the hospital room. Second, like John said he didn't bother mentioning that she had said she wanted to die before the whole ordeal. Third the guy was living with another woman. Fourth I heard somewhere that her injures could of been caused by someone. I forgot the reason why they said that. I am not sure if they did an autopsy either.

From my newspaper I got yesterday..:

"Some Provisions in Patriot Act too vague, judge says"

'People who aid tsunami victims could be liable for prison terms'

"'In particular, plaintiffs emphasize the desperately increased need for aid following the tsunamis that devastated the Sri Lanka region in Decembere 2004, especially in rebel Tamil areas along the northeast coast.' The ruling noted.

"In Sri Lanka, the plaintiffs said, they wanted to provide training in presentation of claims of mediators and international bodies for tsunami related aid. They also seek to offer legal expertise in negotiating peace agreements between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and Sri Lankan government and to engage in political advocacy on behalf of Tamils living in Sri Lanka.

"Without a clear definition of what aid is permissible, the plaintiffs argued that those who provide assistance could be subject to 15-year prison terms."

HUH HUH HUH? I didn't quiet understand that Belial.

But anyways.

There were 3 kids on my highschool that were hardcore liberal and they campained for TOM DASCHLE The ex-senate Majority, and the Minority leader. (Damn that Evil Bastard) But in my mind they didn't even know quiete what they stood for. I mean the evil that they stood behind and supported. They were the kids that tryed to be different. They were a little shortsighted.

But the Patriot Act did and does impair some of the freedom that we had before. They deem it necessary to make us safe. To protect us from the TERROR.

I will not say somthing vague like "It's mostly good, but I think they should scale back three or four of the provisions in it"

That would be weak of me. I really don't know too much about it. I've fallen out of the politcal loop I suppose.
