Hoochman : Prayer has been noted and it will be on our prayer list for our Bible Study/Prayer sessions. I do also want to give you some encouragement to continue to rely on God on His timing and His call for you. If you are called to be in this position, God will guide you through it no matter what and you will be used for His purposes. Remember God does not operate based on our schedule. He knows when the time is right for you and we are to be patient and trust in His timing. What we can do is to remain responsible and diligent in our lives. Strive for your goals and persevere any obstacles that blocks our way. If there is anything that is hindering you, break free from it and continue to try your hardest. The end result will be left to God. If it takes awhile, God will make it worth the wait. Stay patient and strong!

Hoochman :  There's not much more I can say that play4fun has not.  We will certainly pray, and there are several that attend the bible studies which are in the same predicament.  School seems to be very stressful for a lot of people right now, so I hope you can take some comfort in what play4fun said.  God bless you!

I would like to throw out 2 prayer requests for me.
1. I will be taking the praxis II in two days, and part of me feels a little panicky. I'm worried that I don't feel prepared for it before it happens and time is running out for me to review. It is also probably the only time that I can take the scheduled paper test itself. So pray that God would give me comfort and confidence in ability to recall my physics stuff.

2. I am temporarily working at Home Depot, and management recently asked for associates whether they want to work up to 40 hour/week for the next couple of foreseeable weeks. I decided to take on that opportunity because I needed the money. However, please pray that God would protect me during those weeks, because I am still new, and I've only worked at most 28 hrs/wk. this sudden increase in hours might not bode well with my body to get used, especially with the type of work that you at least get cardboard cuts and bruises, and at most pull your back or break a bone if not careful. So pray that God would help me continue to be diligent in my work while preventing me from getting seriously injured.

I tried to do this several days ago, several times, but each and every time I closed the page before posting. I keep praying for people and seeing amazing results come of it. I've seen God do so many wonders since I started the prayer meetings, that I've been astonished and even more in love with God.

However, I think sometimes it's hardest to ask for prayer when the requests deal with our own lives. I think I just feared being selfish, or seen as a complainer about life. I'm not altogether sure.

But here it is: I'd like all my Christian friends on here to pray for me. I think satan is really working in my life right now, trying to get me to doubt so many things... not about my faith, but about myself. I've doubted my judgement, my actions, and my ideas. I just need some guidance from God on which things are right to doubt, and which are not. I need His help in finding comfort, adjusting my attitude towards people in general, and finding the right level of interaction with other Christians.

All in all, I'm looking for a closer relationship with God so that I don't doubt myself when I shouldn't.

Will you guys pray for me as I search for a job? Right now it's a bit awkward with my school schedule, looking for jobs that will allow for a limited schedule, but I'm trying to finish school, and it's important that I do that. Thanks everyone!

Can you please keep my grand mother in your prayers. She had went to the hospital a while back and had to get a heart resperator. I think thats what its called and she got to come home and was home for a month or so and she just recently had to go back in the hospital for her knees being in horrible pain and dehydration.

We should always remember to pray our thanksgivings... our gratitude, and our love for God.  God isn't someone we should only approach in our times of need....

I just want to say that I love God.

I always will, and there is nothing anybody can say, nothing anybody can do, and nothing that can come against me to change my mind.
There are the naysayers, the attackers, the doubters, the scammers... all with one aim in mind.

But you know what?  My God is greater than that.

I'm different, yes.  Isn't that what Christ calls us to be?  How can we, as Christians, stand aside and claim to have something special in Christ, if we reflect the rest of the world?

How can we claim any right to God's magnificent love?  How can we claim to be above Him, stronger than Him, or wiser than Him?
Truth is.. we can't.

God tells us that the world will come against us.  Because they don't understand.
However, it's okay.... We're apart.  We're different.  We belong to God.

As children of God, as future owners of that divine inheritance... how can we possibly be discouraged?

I just wanted to remind myself of these facts.  They are integral to me and who I am.

Sometimes, I feel like life gets too hard.  Sometimes I feel like I can't possibly take one more step, or perform one more task.  I can't take another hateful word, or yet one more person who disagrees with me.  Sometimes, even the rain is enough to make me doubt the blessings God has given.

What a weakness on our part!  God is all we need, and He is bigger than all of it.  Bigger than the naysayers, bigger than the attackers, bigger than the doubters, the scammers.... bigger than all of it.  Hallelujah!

I have an unspoken prayer please.

For those of you close to me, you know what I go through on a day to day basis.  I like to largely blame myself, but I don't know that I want to do that anymore.  I don't know how to fix one particular relationship in my life, and I think I've reached my breaking point and even gone past it.  I don't WANT to be past it.  I want to go back before I even reached that point.  It's just... a year goes by and I see nothing different.  I need help, and I need prayers.  I've been heartbroken for months now, and I think today was the point where I realized I'm past that pain.  I don't think that I've moved past it in a good way, either.  Please pray that I can monitor the situation and my spirit according to the Word of God.  God is a Healer, and I need to rely on that fact.

Singelli : Pray for my family. We have been through a lot these past few months.

Real quick, I want to post a prayer request for myself about recent events. Some might notice that I haven't been posting on this forum for awhile. This is due to the fact that I have been undergoing intensive teacher training that requires me to make 1 hour commutes there and back as well as the fact as the training goes from 7 am to 6 pm. It has been taking up a lot of time, energy, and paper throughout this time. At the same time, as a global, I have to put those tasks first on this site. So for the free time that I am able to come on this site, I use it for mod purposes. I will occasionally check this forum from time to time, but I won't have enough time to post anything. Good news is that the training will end soon (and I will pass, Lord willing) and I will be back for more active postings on this forum.

Extra request: My family car broke down yesterday, which makes my travels even more hectic. I would need to travel at an earlier time to ride the train, which means less sleep for me. Pray for perseverance and strength for me. 1 and half week to go!

For those of you keeping up with my situation at least a little bit, you probably know why I'm dreading today.  Today is Open House.  I don't like open house on normal years. Parents always come and want to discuss/ complain about grades even though we are explicitly told NOT to discuss grades at that point.  Not only do the parents seem to solely come for that reason, but they also want to be THE only one heard, until you tell them their child's grades will improve.  They literally will stand at your desk while other parents line up behind them, not caring about how long that line is or how late it's getting.

(I realize this probably doesn't happen for other schools.  It's because we are a magnet school.)

Well, this year I'm dreading it even more.  See.... I'm terrified... absolutely TERRIFIED that my principal is going to decide to drop by.  I'm afraid she will want to see how many parents are complaining, what they're saying about me, and how I'm handling the situations.  I can't tell you how terrified I am.

If you guys don't mind sparing a few moments, please, please, PLEASE say a few prayers for me today.  I have to be at the school all the way until 8pm for this, and my dread is only surmounting.
