"SEGA® Europe Ltd. and SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced plans to bring classic titles from its popular Dreamcast™ console to Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®Network later this year. Sonic Adventure™ and Crazy Taxi™ will be the first two classics made available, with Sonic leading the pack in Fall 2010 for the 11th anniversary of the launch of the Dreamcast in the United States.

Each game is based on the original Dreamcast incarnation, featuring all of the gameplay that older players fell in love with, whilst allowing a new audience to discover it for the very first time. The games incorporate all-new enhancements and features such as high resolution visuals and surround sound. Online leader boards are now implemented, allowing players to compare their skills with friends across the world! In addition to this, all-new Achievement and Trophy integration will be available for each game released.

Sonic Adventure will be available for download in Fall 2010. Both Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will be on display at SEGA’s booth (#2023) at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo."

that's right people if you want to get this you got to have a X-box360 and or PS3. what is everybody's thoughts on this?

I don't see it as that much of a suprise, they already have soul caliber on XBLA, if anything, this should have happened along time ago.

yes but think about it, SEGA is owned by Nintendo, so, why is SEGA selling their dreamcast games on the PlayStation Network and X-Box Live? i'm starting to think that SEGA may come back with a new console.

the devil : Er, I don't remember Nintendo buying SEGA... because they didn't. Otherwise, there would be no SEGA games on 360/PS3, and if they had, SEGA definitely wouldn't be making a console.

but didn't Nintendo buy the rights to use sonic in their games?

the devil : Sega made a deal with them, that doesn't mean Nintendo bought them. They just simply though the wii would work well with Sonic. I really doubt Sega would come back with a new console, they don't enough money or resources to make a sucessful one and if they think just making sonic for their "new console" that would be an idiotic move.

Well i might buy a few of them if the price is right. I wont pay like $20 for a port of an outdated sonic heros when there is sonic heros for the gamecube that has extra stuff in it.

well I know that I will probably buy some crazy taxi. I remember spending hours on that game. I was never too much a fan of sonic adventure but meh I might buy it just to buy it who knows.

I haven't seen any yet. When are the games coming out? I didn't read the whole thing so it's possible it told and I missed it. Really hope it didn't.

Well I dont like the idea of paying for roms (as that is basically what this is) but at least it allows people that either dont have the roms or the old consoles to get the games and play them.
But the price will never be right to make me buy a game that I can just download and burn to disk to play on a dreamcast.

Though maybe now people will shut up about a dreamcast2 or whatever and get the fact that sega is a 3rd party company now and they release all their games over multiple platforms
