North And South is an old game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). If you haven't played it ever, I highly recommend it. It is fun gameplay with a mixture of strategy and side-scrolling action, depending on what part of the war you're at. You can be the south and re-decide the outcome which is kinda cool. The options allow you to turn on and off things like "indian attacks". It was a very fun game to play 1 on 1 against a friend. I'm pretty sure it's one of those games most people don't know about so that's why I wanted to mention it here.

It's definitely a game you want a controller for because some aspects just cannot be succeeded at with your keyboard. In short, it's a really cool game and it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. You may not win the war on your first time so keep trying if you don't. Also, i think you can start in 1863, 1864, or 1865 to have different scenarios in the war.

My late friend Tommy and I used to play this game head to head alot when we were young because the outcome can go either way, so that made it fun. I will admit that playing the computer just isn't the same.

I was wondering if anyone else ever played this.
