I actually did that on New Years Eve and Day, I prepared Chicken Alfredo pasta bake, I hope to do it again one day, and we had chicken leftover from that so we used up one of the Enchilada kits the next day and boy was it good

Fairly often, I always make my own breakfast while lunch and dinner are closer to 50-50 between preparing my own meal from scratch vs heating up a pre-cooked meal or ordering takeout. During the pandemic, I was cooking a lot more often and trying out new recipes I came across online. I really want to experiment with making new meals as frequently as I did back then, but my life is busier now and food ingredients are more expensive than ever before.

SacredShadow: Not gonna lie I actually encouraged my parents to try some recipes I wanted (because we couldn't eat out and we don't have the food delivery apps) some didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, the following year something inside me woke up as Oliveri introduced a line of Skillet Gnocchis (something easy to cook)

So seeing how breakfast is 95% of the time a yogurt and chocolate milk sometimes i make some toast but not often, lunch is normally either frozen chicken and fries or frozen pizza, and then dinner if I'm home is whatever my grandparents make which normally is a nice home cooked meal or if im at work club crackers, meaning I myself almost never cook from scratch currently.

Almost always. I've made it a habit so as to not rely on pre-cooked meals, it's a temptation when you're low on energy but in the end it makes me fall into an endless pit and I have a hard time getting out.

Since my girlfriend spends the weekends at my place, we also cook for both lunch and dinner. Some times we do take seconds and finish everything, but other times we also make dinner out of it (even with seconds on rare ocassions). And since she knows I normally prepare easy meals as I don't have much time during the week, she likes to leave me some good food for later because she does try different recipes and spices on everything she prepares.

Other than that, only very rare ocassions in which we order something or retort to pre-made meals, mostly when we have a meeting at home with friends. And even in the latest meetings we already had our dinner ready from the lunch, so yeah.

I do plan on cooking more during this year, see if I get the motivation to try things and spices so I can get out of usual routine. I have a good teacher during the weekends, and things will only improve from here on.

Rarely, and when I do, it's simple stuff like Mac and cheese or soups. Most of my meals are instant or microwavable stuff that I add extra ingredients to, or I eat out. I don't think my kitchen is too well equipped for full cooking.

Not as much as I should. I love cooking and making up my own recipies, so if I wasn't so tired all the time, I would probably cook every night.

At this point though, probably no more than once a week. After a long day, the last thing I want to do is cook a fancy meal. So I go to the easy meals, frozen things, or very simple pastas.

My wife and I cook our own meals pretty much every day. Sometimes we'll take a shortcut, like using frozen chicken tenders in a recipe (Disney has a super discounted store for employees and Kenzie can buy a 5-pound bag of chicken tenders there for like $12), but we rarely ever order food or buy pre-made meals that just need to be heated.

My wife is from Bangladesh, so almost everything she makes is from scratch, and everything I make is, as she calls it, "American junk."

Frequently. My parents insisted on teaching me how to cook before I graduated high school, and while it was annoying at the time, I am very grateful for having this simple but important life skill. Almost every college student would eat junk or frozen food, and I was able to meal plan several dinners during the weekend that I could just warm up during the week.

These days I'm back home and my dad and I just arbitrarily split the cooking duties between us. It usually depends on the dish (he's a lot better at some things, while I have him beat on other meals) and stuff like daily schedules. Sometimes, like today, I do just go get a pizza for a quick, easy and slightly less healthy meal, but I'd say 95% of the time we eat home cooked meals, of which I contribute around 40-45%.

I generally cook from scratch about 2-3 times a week. I learned how to cook at a young age from my parents. Now that I'm married I tend to cook as I stated 2-3 times a week. My favorite things to cook or breakfast such as pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Another thing I like to cook is tacos with ground beef, and rice. Once in a while I make my own queso. I also like to cook steaks as I have my own way of marinating the steaks. With my wife working 60 hours a week I'm the one who does almost all of the cooking. Now, sometimes my wife will back a desert from scratch such as bananna pudding.

I was going to do a cookie recipe that I found in the facebook reels but now it has to be postponed because the peanut butter cookie dough I bought two years ago (yeah I know it's not really cooking from scratch here) was showing signs of mold and that's a red flag for me
