There’s a lot to talk about in this episode.

I ended up trading in three more games which were Mario Golf, Pokemon Snap, and Shovel Knight so I could get more games. Getting rid of them didn’t really hurt much because a lot of people know that I didn’t really like Mario Golf and I didn’t really play the other two enough to like them.

As for new games entering the collection, not only did I buy a bunch of games, but I also got a TON of review copies.

Noy only that but when I was at Anime NYC, I went to my favorite booth and picked out a ton of gaming soundtracks and collectors edition items.

I’m also really happy about the game Lonesome Village because it’s a game that I backed on Kickstarter way back in September 2020 and it finally came out last month.

There’s a lot to go over with this update. Apparently I accidently labeled a few games twice even though I only had one copy so I had to remove the duplicates from the list. Not only that, but there were a few games that I have that were never added to the list to begin with like the Bioshock games.

It's been far too long since the last time I updated this. Literally every time I got a new game I would add the title to a document so I could post it here but after about two months it started looking like it would be tough to add up all the game prices and then alphabetize everything until now.

A lot of stuff has happened since the last update.

First, my main Twitter account got suspended. That generated around 15,000-25,000 views per day towards my reviews, YouTube videos, and Twitch streams. So I basically quit streaming which affected my relationship with dozens of Nintendo publishers and the number of reviews I wrote dropped. Plus wasn't able to buy as many games since the views that came from Twitter alone accounted for around $20-30 per day.

The big thing that happened since the last update was that I bought a Nintendo themed news and review website called The Switch Effect. I joined the site in October 2022 and was doing an average of 1 review per month and then in September 2023 I took over as the owner. Spent the last 3 months doing a lot of work on the site which included rebuilding how the site looks, getting the site on OpenCritic and Metacritic, getting advertisers, creating multiple social media accounts, and working on partnerships. I also got the chance to work at both PAX East and New York Comic Con for the site.

As for the total number of games, I added a whopping 161 games valued at more than $4,300 over the past 11 months. This brings the total collection up to exactly 800 games and more than $21,000.

There's a lot to talk about here, but only because so little has happened over the course of more than a year. Since I got the Steam Deck a month after my last post, I haven't been buying as many switch games. I don't think I bought more than like 10 in all of 2024, though I continued to get dozens of games to review for work that I haven't been able to add in yet.

The main issue is that I sold a bunch of my physical games, maybe 30-50 of them. So it's going to take a long time to figure out which ones are gone and remove them and their value before adding all the new ones. My Nintendo themed site has also taken off since then and I'm excited for the Switch 2. I'm gonna try to do a payment plan so I can order it the moment pre orders open up.
