So with Minecraft now being on the 1.14 cycle, we've seen a lot of changes and updates throughout the years. I can remember first playing the game around the end of 1.3 - beginning of 1.4, so I've seen most of them throughout the game's life span.

Some of my favorite ones include the one with the horses, because that was such a fun experience riding horses for the first time. I also really like the 1.13 update due to how dull the oceans were before this update, with them now being some of the most colorful and interesting areas to explore. The new swimming mechanics as well as the few new mobs they added in really enhance the experience.

Lastly the 1.8 update due to how I find the PvP to be at its peak in this version, and this shows as most servers with combat and mini-games run on this version.

For future updates I'm hoping they enhance the nether a lot, as it's supposed to be this big scary place but it's honestly one of the tamest areas in the game. Add new fast flying mobs, make it more difficult to explore and maybe have a boss enemy in there as well somehow.

Another thing I'd like them to enhance, and this is a popular opinion, is to increase the caving experience. Abandoned mineshafts used to be scary but with the new shield as well as the slow combat they've really been easy lately. As well as the fact that you can just get tons of diamonds from like underwater ships, etc. so that makes them pointless as well.

So what are some updates you want to see them add to Minecraft? Maybe scratch some current features/re-add old ones?

For one, expending on ropes. We already have rope physics with leads, so I don't see why it would be a stretch to be able to swing on vines and make grappling hooks, which would be wonderful for clearing gaps and scaling cliffs in biomes such as jungles and extreme hills. I don't feel like it would make the game easier or anything, either. Having more options to get around doesn't mean there isn't a degree of risk involved. You could make rope from vines or string and craft a grappling hook from rope and a pickaxe.

Oceans and taiga have already gotten a really nice update, and more biome-related updates are going to happen. I feel like swamps are a little bare. You have witch huts and increased slime chunk frequency, but you don't have any mobs unique to that environment. I'd like to see maybe frogs or gators or snakes or something.

If we're gonna add biomes, which I don't really see happening soon, I feel like a biome that's missing would be a really volcanic region. Somewhat barren, hot, and rocky with frequent lava flows spilling down hills, you could have a couple variants, such as flatter volcanic regions with hot springs geysers, and craggier regions with large, conical vats. Maybe a small amount of netherack generation in the overworld.

Vampires and gothic castles. Make things really interesting by not being able to tell whether or not a wolf or a bat is actually a vampire, and make them especially weak to wooden tools and weapons.

Bring over arrow tipping from Bedrock Edition. I know you can do it in Java, but I much prefer the idea of dumping potions in a cauldron and tipping them that way instead of having to get dragon's breath to make lingering potions.

Combine campfires with cauldrons to make cooking pots and expand the benefits and variety of making stews and soups.

So far I'm really liking where we're going with combat and I'd really like to see Minecraft maybe in the near future add more weapons considering we have your everyday Sword, Axe, Bow, and Trident (Javelin). I'm hoping they could add Braces, I know we can slam things with our fists but I would love for punching to be slightly more powerful, like a pair of iron braces would be like +4dmg, and would be slightly faster than most weapons since it's the lightest but they would break easily.

Also another thing I wish would be added in Vanilla minecraft is McMMO since I love the stat boards and it's really like gaining levels, since each time you level you can actually notice a difference in strength. I mean it will probably only stay as a plug-in, but if they integrated a real stat system I'd be estatic.

As far as animals go I'd think we're fine at the moment, there is a huge variety at this point and it's great to see a larger amount of mobs in each biome. In the future I think more hostile things like Lions or Tigers where you can collect claws or teeth would be interesting and maybe make a Lion Claw Sword or Tiger tooth, there's so much potential with that.

I know we can use treasure maps and trade with villagers, but what if we integrated bulletin boards in every village or specific villagers that give you quests. Side-Quests are usually my favourite thing to do in any RPG and I feel like Minecraft could really expand on that type of thing and make it crazy imaginative.

In addition to seconding what Deg said about bulletin boards and quests, I'd like to ask why we don't already have mossy and/or cracked mossy chiseled stone bricks, can't strip only one or two sides of wood or logs, and can't set bowls down.

Those seem like pretty obvious things.

I really want them to make redstone in bedrock more like Java. But also, I want more redstone things in general. Like a better motion detector, rather than the string device. A multi signaler that sends pulses on a timer would be nice too, then I wouldn't have to build infinite circuits.

Not really an add as much as a change but I would really love if the build height limit was increased. It's not really a problem that everyone has but those who were here for the OG Vizzed server days know that I built the Empire State Building and World Trade Center replicas and that I just love building super tall structures.

I would love to build something that's actually to scale or work on some other famous buildings but right now that's almost impossible without sacrificing detail.

New mobs, I like seeing the different mobs they come up with. The cute ones especially . I want a baby dragon at some point or at least more dragons. XD

I think the game is due for a new boss of some sort. Or bosses. Something to make the game more challenging. Or maybe more animals/mobs in general. Another thing I wouldn't mind them adding is possibly new biomes to explore to sorta go along with the new animals.

Side note though, please no more flying enemies. They are the bane of my existence in video games.

Fyredove : flying enemies. Bees are okay but phantoms just fuel rage. I wouldn't mind if they fixed them.

Furret : There are a few things that i feel minecraft really lacks. First off, an easy way to sell stuff. Villagers are not a good trading system, you have to find the right right one and hope he has the right trade. You should be able to sell any item, except maybe like terrain blocks, because that would just be ridiculous.

Personally, something i really would like to see is more kinds of minerals that you can dig up that can add effects to weapons. For instance, rubies would add fire, topaz could be electric. Sapphires water or ice.

Flying vehicles?

How about new dimensions like the end and nether, but they actually have cool new things that actually make you want to go there. Of course, this latest nether update isn't a bad start.

I'd like them to expand the world limits a bit. While I doubt it matters to most people, I just want to be able to build higher and larger.
