datiel112: yeah, leggy came in and made a few replies. But, because they were all in the last hour, even though he couldn't care less, it was technically supposed to be a DQ, so he got a DQ in those jerseys. 

EX Palen : Yeah, I wanted those extra points in blue. It's so hard to find places to post when nobody else is posting. It's kind of annoying. As long as you don't make winning this whole thing for me more difficult, me and you will just find with one another.  
I still don't like the CP jerseys, but that's probably because they aren't my strong point. I'd like to see the old jerseys come back. Maybe having 6 jerseys would really change things up. 

thing1 : CP jerseys add a bit to the mix. Proof of that are the performances of Ferdinand, Yuna and no 8120, who are all capable of performing exceptionally well overall by participating in just Red and Green. Other users prefer to focus on Yellow and Blue, like you and zander, so we have two clearly distinct patterns towards attaining a very similar result.

6 jerseys is surely a no. We now have a balance for CP and posts, and even though they have their issues, it's better we stay like this. Unbalancing the competition to favor more posts over CP or viceversa would make one of the above mentioned patterns to reign supreme over the other, and battles just like you and me are having right now would be impossible, just to mention one of the many issues it could have.

Oh, and I'm receiving support from a few people that want a first time winner of this competition, so I won't let them down. I'll keep being there, putting the pressure on you to keep your average scoring high if you want to keep your name like that. Whoever ends up winning this competition will pay the price with sweat.

EX Palen : In that case, you'll probably win, and I'll just compete for second. I hate competing for the CP jerseys. It's so much work, and it's favored towards staff. Even if I am an Elite, the ammount of work you have to do to compete is not fair. 

Congrats, you will win unless you just stop competing. I'll just go for 2nd. I don't have the time or patience to do a bunch of stuff that really doesn't need to be done. 

Don't get me wrong, I like competing. But I hate favored competitions. it's why I originally stopped competiting in the Tour de Vizzed in the first place. If we brought back the old jerseys, and then gave the user the choice of which 4 of the 6 they wanted tdo get credit for, I would definitely compete. But as the way it is now, I absolutely hate it. 

thing1 : "a bunch of stuff that really doesn't need to be done".

That, my friend, is your biggest mistake. There's always stuff to be done to get this site more complete: reviews, guides, screenshots, videos... You may think that there's staff in charge of that, but it doesn't mean non-staff members can't add their own content by themselves. Besides, our current staff team is on a historically low level, on general terms at least, so we're now more dependant on the people who doesn't have roles related to content rather than the few staff with such roles.

It's not that favored towards staff as you may think. Staff-only actions do not count towards Red, and I'm pretty sure they don't count for Green either, so the only advantage we could have is our heightened daily limit and we can only exploit that advantage when pushed enough.

Besides all that, the current activity level makes it possible for elite and below to participate and even attempt to win Red or Green. Pacman+Mariofan won overall Red last summer and we've seen non-staff perform rather well towards Green, so the facts are there.

True is that I'm fully intending to win Red but still you can dominate Yellow and Blue with one or two seven pointers and you can mostly counter what I could earn in Red and Green. It's been like this for the last days and it has produced a close battle between you and me, so it doesn't require as much effort as you would think to battle for rainbow.

I want you to keep participating. Seeing rainbow going back and forth at least gives the vibe of an interesting battle going around, and you're the only other participant intending to win besides me. I won't go all out because I cannot sacrifice any tiny bit of real life right now, only having peaks when I have free time, so we must keep our close battle going on to keep this competition somewhat alive.

The idea of being able to pick 4 out of 6 jerseys to place doesn't sound that bad, but I still think we should stay like this even if it's just to see the effects of having a biannual TdV. If we introduce too many changes at once, it will be hard to tell which work and which don't.

Yay, a White banner holder in the first third of the competition that can keep it all month long! Been quite a while since we saw that!

I did feel that yesterday was to be a powerful day, and it ended up being true. I now have a gap with thing1, but it's just 7 points which can be reduced in an instant. Speaking about gaps, the one I had in Red has almost vanished now, so depending on how this week goes I'll have to step up quite a bit if I want to take it.

Approaching the first third of the competition and just 14 points away from the first hundred. Doesn't look like anybody will break the 350 points mark if we keep this pace, but we'll have to see how things progress.

All kenneth did was post a review, and then a reply saying it could have been better. I thought it was really good. 
Surprising that that was all it took to get yellow. I remember when you would need at least 3,000 words to even place in yellow. 

thing1 : Man, I remember when you had to do MULTIPLE reviews to be able to win Yellow, and even getting 7K words was rarely enough to get the 7 pointer.

That's a HUGE gap though between 1st and 2nd, David only needed 2 short posts to land in 5th.

The Tour de Vizzed starts to slow down.

zanderlex : It used to be so much harder to win. I remember when I won, it was non stop staying up til 1am to make sure I won, since I lived in North Carolina at the time. 

Even with the TdV slowing down, EX Palen is right. it's on us Veteran users to keep the site alive. And that means keeping the TdV competitive to try to draw in more activity on the site. 
I'm also going to put up a referral code on my Twitch page. 

Indeed, we've slowed down to what was the average pace of the last competitions. It's a shame, we started kind of good but it didn't last much. We lost a few competitors for several reasons and we clearly see the consequences.

I managed to get another Red jersey, which allowed me to put one more point between me and no 8120. The gap is still small, but this gives me a bit of margin. I'm dependant on third parties to be fully competitive this week, though I won't let that fact be an excuse to lose my lead.

Today looks like the numbers will be a bit higher, at least for the winners. Still many hours to go, but placing for today will require some effort in any jersey, and that's always welcome. Let's hope we have more days like today in the upcoming weeks, this competition really needs them.

That means I have a few days to catch back up to you, and gain some points on you. That'll be nice. Although, it depends on how demanding school gets right away. 

hah, so much for there being veteran competition. Sounds like David made himself a new jersey that he can win every single time

I could still catch him if I really wanted to but it would come down to really wanting to and I doubt i do.

Still, maybe we can pick things up today to get the activity back up.

Today is the 11th day.

Yesterday numbers surely went up. As I predicted it would be hard to place, and I could only get 3 points. Luckily I'm way above the average I wanted and I managed to keep the gap in Red, so there wasn't any major damage. I lost a bit of my gap in the overall competition, but it's not my main focus and I'm sure I can get it back in the following days.

It's always nice to see 4 different users getting a jersey, it gives the competition a colorful vibe and even more if none of those winners is wearing a banner. And if we add the colored usernames, then this is almost carnival.

Let's see how I fare today because no 8120 is at it again. He's on a very strong shape, so I'll have to be extremely careful in Red, one single mistake and I could be out of the run. I hope my staff roles can be of some help from now on, otherwise I'll have to come up with extra weapons way before than I expected.

EX Palen and zanderlex grab 2 Jerseys each.

Took a break yesterday, and it cost me in the rainbow race. I guess I'll need to try to grab me a god bit of points to day to make up for it, if I want to keep rainbow competitive. 
I'll be so daring as to say that I've already locked up blue for the month. 

Well, I didn't expect I'd fare this well yesterday. Totally managed to make up for the few points I earned the day before and get my average back on track.

With yesterday's results, I'm now top 10 for most Yellow jerseys tied with geeo and just a couple more away from my 50th jersey overall which could be a top 15 position in that chart. I'm also closing in to 900 total points, so the four digits will totally be a reality before the month ends. I'll have to search for further milestones, because I'm achieving almost anything I had in mind before starting.

Ouch, being 3rd for Red yesterday hurt. Doesn't look like my weekend will be very strong, so having just one point of gap will mean trouble. I may even lose the lead briefly, but I'll make it up next week for sure.

In quite a dead day, thing1 returned to score quite high, though he only managed to reduce the gap in 3 points. Still, his performance yesterday shows what he's capable of when the circumstances are met, so I'll have to be very careful and not have any single weak day or my name will go back to pale blue.

Approaching the first half of the competition, I'd be in to say that Blue is pretty much decided. Given how thing1 performs seems nearly impossible he'll lose such a big lead over anybody else, even more me. Green can still have surprises, though it has a clear dominance from no 8120, and the other two are fully up for grabs just like the banners, the only exception being Gray because David is quite consistent in his scores.
