Johto. I love the new features they added, the new pokemon, and the ability to travel to Kanto. I also kinda like Sinnoh, the new story is cool, but the new pokemon have a whole lot of room for improvement.

I have to go with Kanto myself. Red/Blue had the best blend of game play and originality, a bunch of the other games seemed too forced to me.

I like the fourth generation of pokemon the best provided you didn't need to buy a cord to play with your friends and the starters were good as well. How often do you find a grass and ground type pokemon like torterra? On the other hand most new pokemon were evolutions of previous pokemon.

I love the originals! In my mind, after the second generation, they became increasingly less original, and more and more contrived. It seems as though they just threw darts at a chart and picked names and abilities like that. And most of them are just slightly different versions of the originals with different names and colors.

The best Pokemon generation would have to be Hoenn, the third generation. The main reason why like this generation alot is because of the awsome soundtrack. I personally find the soundtrack a whole lot better than any other generation.

I have to say that Jhoto's my favorite because I cannot remember Kanto and after Jhoto, the quality of the episodes went down...way down. The episodes follow the same pattern, opening, battle, team rocket,team rocket blasts off, end.

Lets put it this way: The kanto region is where the foundations of what we call today 'Pokemon goodness' was built. Apart from that solid statement though, classics like charmander were always better in my opinion,(nothing to do with past experiences in the pokemon world)

I will have a special place for the originals, but my favorite would have to be the 2nd gen. it was just amazing although it took a long time time get through everything it was by far the best...IMO
