I hope this helps.
When I play a game that I want to continue to play at another time. When I close the game out, a small box appears and tells me this is my save game code. I hold down "Ctrl C" and then open a new word doc and hit "Ctrl V" to paste it. At a later time I open the game and it asks me for my code and I just copy and paste it the same way but from my word doc to the little box.

Thats what I do, there may be an easier way. If so please let me know if you find one. (Work smarter not harder)

Check out this thread https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=5039 to look at it and that should solve any more problems you have.

if the game still cant be save, it probably has a problem,(maybe the java emulator or the game itself has the prob) please report it to david so that he can fix it(it may take months or even years before it can be solved though)
so i advice you to try other games first, there are lots of pokemon games in here(crystal,blue,diamond etc.)
