They don't have the machines at home, you can get it on Xbox and PS2 now and soon GC. It just comes with a pad sorta thing you sit on the floor. The metal ones at the arcades are the best.

Ive been playing stepmania for PC alot lately and Im pretty good. I can Ace or AA any song on standard and im practicing on heavy songs right now.

Ive yet to actually step on a pad though....all Ive used is a keyboard.

those pads are amazingly durable, my friend had one, he never used it so we started throwing it at the wall and hitting it with ratchets, and it still worked perfectly, so if your into that DDR thing, its a wise buy

I just switched from 4 finger style, to using my two index fingers. Im alot more acurate now but im still getting used to the style.

Whats weird is last night I tried C500 opposed to my normal c400, and now I see C400 as a very very slow speed. As always I had it the rate at 1.2x. (C400-500 is a scroll speed modifier that keeps the BPM at a constant number).

Even after the style change im AA alot of songs and making it trhough heavy songs fairly easy, except for the extreme ones of course. Im not going to stop until I can laugh at 14 footer sim files.

DDR is pretty fun. I've been playing on and off for 3 years. That is the type of game that you can just pick it up and start playing real well. To hell with running I'll just play DDR! Besides I only run to go somewhere or to get away from something; I dont run to be first.

That ITG machine has been around for a long time...I think they had ITG 1 for a while and then they bought In The Groove 2, we have to go to the tournament and enter to show everyone how awesome we are, Novice Nate should come too.

Now that I only play on hard im entering the tourney but theres going to be a bunch of insanely good people there, I highly doubt ill make it past the first round, but you do get a free redoctane shirt for entering.
