Game : Pokémon Platinum

System: Gameboy Advance

Problem: Glitched screen; not allowing me to exit room. All controls work fine, just wish I bought an escape rope. It happened in the tower of the desert town(can't remember name of town), after defeating last trainer.

Edit: Need help on how to use the Save File Manager.. How do I open past saved files(saved files before encountering the glitch)? Will I be able to continue where I left off or will I have to start all over from the beginning of the game?

I got a problem with most of the games, sometimes it loads up and the screen goes black  and doesn't finish loading or let me play, only like 1in 10 play 9 being the number of games that always give me that result and I have latest version of java and vizzed RGR plug in, any ideas on what to do about this? or when the bug might be fixed?

Skibiblz : Seemed to have typed your name incorrectly in the last summon. Does that solution work?

lori00 : This means that the video plugin used by that game is incompatible with your graphic card and going fullscreen will fix it. Unfortunately the rgr plugin doesn't yet support fullscreen for N64. A future update will provide better emulation for the N64.

zombieheroez : You'll check if there is a file for that game with BACKUP in its name. You'll have to know which date of the save you want to load, in other words the the date of the backup will have to before the recent save that has the glitch. Files with .sav is the in-game save and .sgm is the state saved with F2.

To load the backup you'll have to move the original to a different slot, then copy the backup to the primary.

For this game, the file name will be Pokemon Light Platinum New.sgm, clicking Move Slot 2 next to that will create Pokemon Light Platinum New.sgm-COPY2. Then for Pokemon Light Platinum New.sgm-BACKUP you'll click Copy Slot 1.

menacemanic : You can still play by clicking OK and then on the game screen. I'm really not sure why that pops up since since loading a different bios file isn't necessary.

Spikelancelot : A few things you can try:

-Uninstall then reinstall the rgr plugin
-Clear your browsing history and internet cache
-Try a different internet browser
-Check for updates to your browser
-Check for windows updates
-Check for updates to your graphic card driver
-Run your direct x diagnostic tool and check if you have hardware acceleration turned on:
Windows 7 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Diagnosing-basic-problems-with-DirectX

Vista - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Run-DirectX-Diagnostic-Tool

XP - http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/troubleshooting_directx.mspx?mfr=true
Hardware acceleration in XP:

Open your Start menu; then Control Panel; then Display; on the Display Properties box click the Settings tab; click the Advanced button; on that box click the Troubleshoot tab; on that box you'll see Hardware acceleration. Slide this to max

This isn't with a particular game, but with all SEGA games for me. For some reason, my F# keys do not work. When I try to make a screen shot, it doesn't make a screen shot. Instead, for a brief moment (like blink of an eye brief), the sound stops when I push F6 to take screen shot. That's all that happens. That includes when I try to submit a high score for a SEGA game, since it is pretty much just taking a screen shot. I might have asked this before or seen a thread, but I don't remember if there was a solution.

Eien no Filena does not have the current translation patch

http://www.romhacking.net/translations/761/

After you patch the game, almost everything will be translate and be playable.

KingJustice : I'll see about getting that updated, thanks.

Spikelancelot : For all game systems? Which systems are doing that?

I have noticed Donkey Kong 64 does not work correctly on the mupens emulator. I gets to a certain point in the opening cinematic and then it just freezes up while the audio continues to play. This is really sad for me because I really enjoy that game.

Also, on the 1964 emulator, games don't play too well when you use a controller. It acts as though I'm constantly moving when I'm not...

Pokemon Stadium will not work on the mupens emulator, I've noticed a lot of n64 games not working on that emulator... and I can't run the 1964 one for some unknown reason :/ anyways, just thought I'd update you.

becerra95 : Since the save files are no longer saved on vizzed's server, you may have to download them from the save file manager and place them in your plugin data folder.

This thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=37198
will explain this, or are you saying they've been deleted from your computer recently?

If not recently, then they can be recovered from the save file manager.
