The controls are analog, but I noticed that they aren't as responsive as they once were. There is a way to adjust sensitivity in MAME options, but it takes a lot of fiddling around in order to get it right.

try deleting the cfg file from the MAME folder in Plugin Data folder 'foodf.cfg'
