Hi Everyone, It’s ExciteBikeFan14 with the Tetris Blast Game Review for The Original Game Boy Handheld System. What Tetris Blast Is all about is a fresh twist of the popular puzzle game. Named Bombliss in Japan, Tetris Blast plays the same way and it’s a blast of fun (no pun intended) So, Lets Jump into the review.

Game Overview

Tetris Blast Is A Puzzle game where besides making lines to score points, bombs are added in this game. The object of the game is to clear level by level strategically making lines and clearing the screen with blocks and bombs. Every level starts off with a set number of points and drops 1 by one with every block added to the matrix.  The game has 3 game modes plus a versus mode which you and a friend can go head to head to see who can clear the screen the fastest. The 3 game modes are Contest which you go level by level clearing the screen, Fight which you take on 1 of 3 characters to smash and make them explode in order to win the match, and Practice which you play an “endless” game to sharpen your skills. If the matrix fills up at any game mode, the game is over and you will get a chance to try again to beat the level. Tetris Blast is a great unique experience for all puzzle and strategic gamers.

Graphics

The graphics are the game look great and is what you would normally expect from a great Game Boy game, although I don’t focus on the graphics that much because it’s not all important to me. Just the game play that’s all. But anyway the graphics get a rating of 10.

Music & Sound FX

What's great about the music is that it totally fits with the game. From the title screen, to the contest mode, this game has some really great tracks. And the sound fx also match. The music might make you pause the game, just to listen to it. Which is a good reason why a game might have great music. The music & sound fx gets a rating of 10.

Replay Value

Overall the game is highly addicting. It has easy “pick up and play” controls that make the game easy and fun and also hard to walk away from. After just 1 level of Tetris Blast, You don’t wana stop playing. (until you get a game over and want to stop playing.) The replay value also gets a 10 rating.

Game Story

Unfortunately there’s no story in this game so there’s nothing to talk about here.

Game Depth

The game has a lot of depth. Many levels to play, 3 game modes, a versus mode and great music and sound fx to match. The game has so much to offer that you might consider playing this game all day long. The Game Depth gets a rating of 10.

Difficulty Level

The difficulty level of the game is just like any game in the Tetris series. The controls are very easy and the game play is simple, so you can start playing right away. The Difficulty for this game gets a 1 for very easy.
