Turtle power! Jinx98
Story- 7 out of 10
This game brings somewhat of a new spin on TMNT Turtles in Time from the arcade and port of the Super Nintendo, but it's still not much different from the same dry story that the previous games have. In this one, The Shredder has gotten hold of something called the hyper stone and once again has the Statue of Liberty just like previous related Turtles in Time games. While, it's a fresh take on the game, it comes of as a little weaker, because not only is there no explanation again as to why Shredder wants the Statue of Liberty, time travel doesn't come into play anywhere in this game, but it's a beat-em-up, so this type of stuff isn't really new.
Depth-6 out of 10
This game is lacking a lot in the depth department since its a bit shorter. Lets start at the top. First off, there are lesser stages in this game, but they are a bit longer than the usual Turtles in time levels such as, Alley-Cat Blues now being apart of Sewer-Surfin.
Second, there are lesser bosses as well....lesser and more crappy bosses. Rockstready is in this game, but wheres Bebop?! You can't have Rockstready without Bebop! Those two are like Peanut Butter and Jelly! Leatherhead returns, Krang returns, but in his body suit just like Neon-Night Riders, but is listed as just Krang instead of Super Krang, the human form of Baxter Stockman, Super Shredder of course and...Tatsu from the movies?! Not that there is any wrong with mixing up, but this game is a hit and miss, that never got it's full potential tapped into.
Difficulty-8 out 10
This is somewhat debated between fans, but this game is a little bit more harder than Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo. Enemies and bosses have a slight more aggressive nature to them not witnessed since the classic Turtles in Time arcade port, but that's not saying much either. Again this goes back to that potential not being tapped into.
The only time Leatherhead ever actually manages to kill me anymore, is in the arcade port, since hes easy to beat on the Super Nintendo. In this game however, hes a flat out jerk even more so, because I don't get much of a window to move out the way of his charging attack and he hits like a run away truck. Baxter Stockman made me want to punch kittens, because he's annoying...Just like a fly! Not only do you have to chase him around, but you need to be-careful of those Mousers he's dropping, because they will flood the screen and swarm you like a army of fire ants. Than there is Super Shredder, whom is every bit as predicatable as his Super Nintendo counter part. Instead of revising him, its like the creators put him in simply for show.
Addictiveness-7 out of 10
I won't speak for you, because I'm not in love with, but you might very well take to this game. This game in someways turned me away with Foot Ninja's from both sides of the screen, continuously trying to get behind me where I had to try and keep them at bay, with a diving kick. It takes about a minute to get rid of one group because they have a large health pool and I don't get much room to swing on them. I didn't find that fun. I also didn't like Stockman's potentially over powerness to spam my entire screen with mousers which can become a pain to fight my way out of once it happens. I still recommend this for you, if you are a beat-em-up fan, love Turtles in time and it's still pretty nice to be able to say you beat this game.
Sound-9 out of 10
Not much to say in this area, but besides the fact the sound is just as good as Turtles in time. As a matter of fact, it's shares the Super Nintendo music, but with a faster beat them which sets it apart.
Graphics-10 out of 10
Not a whole lot to say in this area either. This game beats out the Super Nintendo port, with it's much superior looking graphics, making it sort of like a HD version

TMNT - Hyperstone Heist Review Marcmoney
Overall - 9.8Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist on the Genesis is a wonderful game to play. I did not know about this game till I found it on this site a long time ago. I would play the one on the Super Nintendo all the time and when I found this game, I was sure to try this out. The game is similar to the one on the Super Nintendo, with the game play and everything, just the stories were different. This game was a whole lot of fun for me and I guarantee that this game will be fun for you too.Graphics - 10The graphics are great. Since they were like the Super Nintendo one, I definitely like the way this one looked. The effects are good too. I see them and they look incredible in the game.Sound - 9The sound is great. The musics are so related to the one from the TV shows, movies, and even from the old games. The sound effects are outstanding, the punching and kicking just sound so good and it sure sounds like it would fit in this game.Addictiveness - 8Like I said, the game is fun for me. This game can be addicting in so many reasons. I play this all the time when I have nothing to do in my free time.Story - 7The story seems interesting, but not too impressive. Shredder hijacks airwaves and says that this was a demonstration from the power of Dimension X. While he has the Hyperstone in his possession, he can now take over the world. This is where you come in, as turtles, to go and stop Shredder and retrieve the Hyperstone back.Depth - 8The game has a lot to offer. For instance, if you have not noticed, you can play with a friend. The best part about this is that you can choose one of the four turtles (woah!). There are also items in the games that you can get such as pizza for health and another one that looks like pizza, but it is a special move where you can spin repeatedly and attack a lot of enemies. If I am not mistaken, you can do a team attack when you play with another player. That is cool to do.Difficulty - 5The game is not too hard, but probably a little bit easier than the Super Nintendo game because you lose less health in this game than the other. The only thing hard about this game is that some enemies can throw things at you or has a longer weapon than you. It can get annoying to be hit by them most of the time. The best thing about this game is that you can get a lot of lives, if you are one of those people that has a hard time playing these kinds of games.Wrap Things Up...Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist is an awesome TMNT game to play on these kinds of consoles. I highly recommend trying this game out if you have not already. I guarantee that you will love playing this game. :)
