Very nice Sidewinder
Graphics: 8/10The graphics in my opinion are absolutely fine...yes, they may be less detailed than many would like, but that provides a nostalgic feeling if you have ever played the original Tecmo Bowl. The graphics do not pose much of an issue through the game - they are simple, easy to play with, and are not bad-looking.
The cons about the graphics however is the constant blinking. Sometimes one of the players on a team is blinking so much he is nearly invisible, making it hard to distinguish if there is anyone in the open field about to make a tackle. Do I keep dodging and weaving or do I just go straight? Another con is some of the the teams' uniforms. I played as the Colts once, and their uniforms are just blinding. So in all honesty, the only thing you have to face when it comes to graphics are the blinking players, and the sometimes poorly contrasted colors of certain team uniforms.
Sound: 7/10There is not much of a soundtrack in this game. However, the nice little tidbits of 8bit music whenever you accomplish or fail at something blend nicely into the game, and if you happen to turn away at a moment and hear a certain 8bit music piece going on, if you play long enough, you can recognize what just happened.
Nothing really is wrong with the music...it gets bland over a while, but this game wasn't made to have such an elaborate soundtrack like the Final Fantasy series. The music won't bother you that much anyways.
Addictiveness: 10/10I always see myself coming back to this day after day. It is truly a fun game to play...the satisfaction of beating your opponents by 8 touchdowns, lovely! This game feels more like a game that draws you back to play more than focusing on the actual game itself...it is quite a simple game once you get the hang of it. It is a game that is truly a joy to play, and since it is modernized a bit, it provides a sort of victorious attitude...hey, you just won the Tecmo Bowl Super Bowl with the New England Patriots! "Heh, I bet they are going to win in real life now, since they are so boss" is what you might say after doing just that.
Story: 1/10This doesn't need much explanation. Football games honestly have no story besides going through the season. Somewhat of a repetitive "story", this game shouldn't receive much credit on this category.
Depth: 9/10As for depth, this game certainly provides some depth. It requires some strategy when playing. If you notice the other team doing the same play constantly, you would make sure to choose the same play as they did so you can get a blitz. The different type of play calls you can make sure add to the strategy part. When you are doing a pass play, and maybe one guy isn't open, who should you switch to? Should you even run it? That's up to you to decide. There is freedom when you are making out your play. You can make the running back go a different route instead of the one indicated on the play. So all in all, depth is covered well in this game.
Difficulty: 4/10This game is not hard at all, once you get the hang of it. For newcomers, it may be a bit frustrating, but once you play enough and learn the tricks of the trade, then it will be a piece of cake and you'll be winning by 7+ touchdowns each game.
Once you do happen to "master" the game, try playing as every team, not just your favorite, or the "best" team. This will help you be a little more versatile and know the strengths and weaknesses of all teams and be able to make the most of them in any game.
Overall, this game is really fun to play. It is not one to offer much in the story line, but that isn't the point of this game. Just have a little fun and be a bit competitive!

choose your team and do your best joey9900
A decent hack of a very popular football game I would say I didn't see any flaws and it's nice how they had the
updated rosters for this season even though I picked the seahawks and failed in the second round of the playoffs whatever team you choose you won't be bored at all that's for sure.
overall: I give this a 10 it's just pretty much your ai team going for the win and claiming a super bowl championship a version so to say of how you would've liked your teams season to have gone. Nice graphics and the sound is decent but for a hacked nes game you really shouldn't expect much
graphics: I might be going on a limb here but I give it a 9 it's well done and with no glitches at all like most hacks I've seen it is very well put together and I didn't see any flaws in the graphic dept again this is a nes hack and doesn't compete with those of madden or any other but it's still a good job
sound: only thing that's missing is where you can mess with the d line like in the nes game and make your qb say hike about 8 or 9 times but it does have the geniue nes sound quality and all the music as well I give this a 6
addictiveness: I gladly give this a 10 which sport fan or football fan hasn't played this way until the middle of the night with an up to date rooster and qb's that you can play and watch on tv at the same time you can shout at both of them at the same time and this game is still fun for a game that's decades old.
story: well the storyline is pretty simple take you team through a 16 week season and hope to make the playoffs if you lucky enough even win a super bowl ring it does have injuries and you can change you playbook and players if you don't like the way there playing I give the story a 8
depth: a long grueling 16 week season facing teams to get you out of the top spot this game has lots of challenges ahead of you with teams that are unpredictable can you imagine a team like the Tampa bay buccaneers going to the playoffs well they did in the season I did! So anything can happen!
difficulty: I can honestly say I suck at video football games but it is kinda easy but also really difficult if you can't find ways to beat teams or get shut out badly in the playoffs it gets really hard cause well what team doesn't play there heart out in the playoffs.

Tecmo Super Bowl 2014 Over-analyzation zayo
Tecmo Super Bowl 2014 is a romhack from TecmoBowl.org, a website dedicated to the original classic from Tecmo, who are known for the Dead or Alive series nowadays, which started as a fighting game in the arcades in 1996, and it was later ported over to the Playstation and Sega Saturn. Tecmo Super Bowl was a NES release in 1991. It was the successor to the previous Tecmo Bowl, which was released in 1989. Tecmo Super Bowl was a lot like Tecmo Bowl, but it had all the actual teams at the time with all the players, and the graphics were enhanced a whole lot. The two games ended up creating a cult following, and that lead to TecmoBowl.org, a fan website dedicated to the Tecmo Bowl games. In 2012, TecmoBowl.org gathered many programmers to create a hack of the original Tecmo Super Bowl called Tecmo Super Bowl 2013. It was meant to add all the new players from 2013's lineup, and it also added slightly enhanced graphics. This game got a lot of hype and attention, and it ended up being a success. TecmoBowl.org decided to do something like it again, and they gathered new programmers together to make Tecmo Super Bowl 2014, which would have all the new players from 2014. They then released it to the public on their website on September 4th, 2013. The game ended up being a success, and now we have it here on Vizzed. Let's talk about the features of the game.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are amazing for a NES game. The graphics are sub-par compared to graphics of today, but these animations really make it incredible. They look like something out of a Genesis. They have incredible detail, and they just look so good. They contain great color transitioning I would have never thought I would have seen on the NES as a kid, but they are just incredible. I give the graphics a 10 out of 10. Bravo.
Sound: The sound is pretty awesome. The programmers didn't
replace many of the sounds, but that is still OK, as the original game had really great sound quality, so I can forgive them. I give it an 8 out of 10.
Addictiveness: This game is so great. I would play it all day if I could. The controls are tight and the overall quality is just so great. 10 out of 10, good programmers.
Difficulty: This game isn't easy for people who haven't played the original before, but if you are familiar with the controls and gameplay, you won't have a problem. After you have mastered the game, it is only your fault if you lose.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this game to any football fan, NES fan, or Tecmo (Super) Bowl fan. The game has tight controls, great graphics, incredible sound, and extreme addiction rates. The game is great for anybody, as it doesn't require much sports knowledge and it has a great gameplay style for everyone. Thank you for sticking with me.
