Hacks one of my favourite games with one of my favorite Pixar movies scratlover98
Monsters Inc is a hack of De-cap Attack, a genesis zombie game you can also play on the play station 3. What follows is a very weird but good idea of a game.
Graphics: Mike's sprite isn't looking too well. His eye is green instead of blue in the game and in the item menu his sprite looks like the stuff of nightmares. Probably that's what the bootlegger was going for, scary! Also Mike's sprite is smaller than the original player sprite so he can jump away from enemies a bit easier. However the enemies are very old school looking so I give it a extra one for the graphic rating.
Sound: The music is alright but the same as the original. My favorite music parts are when you start up the title screen or when Mike dies and melts away.
Addictiveness: This is one game I just like playing over and over, because you want to see what happens when you get all the door pieces.
Story: According to the Russian box art it says that Mike lives in Monsters Inc testing out teleportation on a door but gets teleported to other worlds and the door's pieces is scattered all over the places like the island in De-cap Attack. He tries to find his way home but enemies are trying to interfere. This isn't like the original movie where they try to get Boo home but I like it.
Depth: There are maybe 5 worlds in the game, am I right?
Difficulty: The enemies are pretty bad at the start. The dart enemies will shoot darts at you on sight. Luckily there is a glide button so you can squash or instead zap the enemies with Mike's eye. (that wasn't in the original movie!) I died at world 2 but that won't stop me from playing again. You may have problems understanding everything because of the Russian text but you should be alright.
Overall I like this game!
