International Superstar Soccer diegomamelli05
International Superstar Soccer (ISS) is the first game of a football game franchise, originally for the Super Nintendo, developed by Konami in 1994. The game was called in Japan Jikkyo World Soccer: Perfect Eleven.
The game was inspired by a game for the NES developed by Konami and Konami Hyper Soccer called (the first football game of the producer). A second version of ISS was launched in 1995 and named International Superstar Soccer International Superstar Soccer Deluxe or 2 (the name adopted for the Sega consoles).
ISS has revolutionized the world of football games for video game by bringing a number of innovations such as (i) more realistic graphics and less deformed, (ii) players with own graphic features, (iii) number on the back of players' shirts, (iv ) gameplay more realistic and compatible with a real game of football, and (v) real-time narration jogos.Outro positive fact the game is the wide variety of tactical options for the team. All these features banged heads with the games produced so far and made ISS a unique game.
Perhaps the downside of the original version of the game is that the names of the players of the teams did not correspond to the original cast. With the option of editing can get around that aspect.
The success of this classic in Brazil was such that several altered versions unofficial and sold illegally were created, among them: Brazilian Soccer 96, 98 and Ronaldinho Campeonato Brasileiro Campeonato Brasileiro 99. All these versions were changed to national teams Brazilian teams (and some from abroad) with the players name corresponding to the original players of the teams.
Unlike what many think, the Winning Eleven franchise game was not developed from ISS, since the games were produced by different divisions of Konami. However, it is undeniable the influence of ISS in current games in the genre.
