This hack adds lots of new things like new codes, HP (hit points), 2 players playing as the same character at once and much more!Graphics rating for me is a 10 because I just love the graphics in the game.Sound Rating for me is a 10 again! Great music's and sound effects!Addictive rating for me is a 9 because the game's not exactly too addictive and I only played for a short time when I first/last played it. Also I have only played it once because that was just my first time. I will play it again for certain though!Story rating for me is a 10! Some guy hacks into the Research base and your heroes try and stop him!Depth: 10! (it's what you would expect from CONTRA!)Difficulty for me is actually a small 4 because it just lets me down compared to the original and super contra. It's a bit too easy for me but I still enjoyed it for my first experience.As you start the game, you get to pick from a cast of four heroes: Bill.R, a blond chick, a sentinel robot with a gun, and Fang. And just to put it out there: Fang is a bad ass.He is a cyborg werewolf soldier with a mini-gun for a hand, styling shades, and enough denim and chest hair to be the king of the 1970s.Summary: You want to pick the robot.Then you go shoot some guys, and die a billion times in the process. Contra: Hard Corps is a very busy game, with explosions, body parts, and glowy, flashy, death orbs flying everywhere, all the time. But in time-honored fashion, shooting continuously while running forward will get you to the bosses without too much of a problem. The bosses, however, are EVIL.Some are robots with giant spiked death balls, others shoot laser beams and bouncing bombs, some do both. Their patterns are complicated, as they have at least three different attacks, and the window to safety is small and closes instantly. Some are nearly impossible to avoid as you have a split second to slide-dash through the attack to not get hurt. One of the later bosses has a main attack that is literally impossible to avoid as far as I can tell.But without worrying about lives (Just use the code whatever the hell it is!), these bosses are amazing. Some pop out at you from waterfalls and manipulate the bridge you are walking on. Some chase you down a highway, from behind, in a pseudo-3D fashion (whatever that is). And some of them are Mother Brain on acid. But all of them die to some really kick-ass music.For the first half of the game, you have a choice between two paths after a level. The choices never effect the ending, but they do provide slightly different stages and alternate boss fights.You can't exactly find much things that need changing because it's SO awesome!The sound in this game comes in clear just like the graphics do. They sound like they go perfectly with what made the sound in the first place. There are a lot of sounds in this game that you usually do not hear in other games (except the pause sound effect). This is one of the actual few games that I actually listen to the sound to when I play. The sound affects almost sound real like when bad guys blow up into pieces, it sounds just right. I think it well deserves it's ten out of ten.WRAP THINGS UP!Play this game if you want a GREAT experience! (and don't rage quit on the 3rd boss)

This is a patch for Contra Hard Corps (U) for the Sega Genesis. In the version of the game that was originally released in Japan, it was possible to take three hits before dying. For unknown reasons, this functionality was removed when the game was released in the US, making the game vastly more difficult in the process. This patch restores the ability to take three hits, complete with the life bar.

In addition, this patch does the following:

- Restores the three cheat codes that were also present in the Japanese version but removed from the US version. Note, however, that unlike the Japanese version, these codes are entered on controller ONE.
- Up to ten lives can be selected in the menu (the default is three).
- Player 1 and Player 2 can now select the same character.
- A new code is available that takes you to the game's debug level! Press Left, Right, Left, Right, A, B, C, B, A, Up Down.
