Taking it to the streets (street fighter champion)   tornadocam
Finish Him!!! oh whoops sorry wrong game. Here we go its a fight in the streets nah just kidding. I'm going to be reviewing Street Fighter II Championship addition.
Story: 6
The Story may not be clear unless you read the manual. Bison who is the leader of Shadloo a criminal organization that traffics drugs and assassinates political leaders organizes a fighting tournament . Shadloo's clutch of power extends all over the world they even hold the street fighter tournament as mentioned. Bison is out to prove that Shadloo rules the world and has the power over the countries top fighters. 8 warriors set out to banish shadloo from their homeland and to win the tournament. Sagat who is not affiliated with anybody enters the tournament for one reason he wants his championship back. Now that is the basic plot your character that you pick has a different story to them that is seen after you beat the final boss. So it is so easy for players to get confused trying to figure the plot out. A good rule of thumb is different fighters have different story lines. The basic plot is they are trying to bring down Bison and win the title of best world fighter. Now if a player had not read the manual they probably would not have picked up the plot. The game does not mention anything about Shadloo accept for Bison's ending if you are using him, but the manual does. With most fighting games the plots are not really defined. I compared Street Fighter to other fighting games I have played Mortal Kombat and Streets of Rage. Streets of Rage had a good plot but Mortal Kombat had a not so clear plot. Street fighter is the same way. So yeah the plot is I would say iffy and not easily defined .

Graphics: 9
Street Fighter's graphics are very good. Each fighting stage has a different background. The colors in the fighting stages are awesome. I really like Guile's (air force stage) and  Blanka's stage because they are  very colorful. The spectators in the background also move and you can tell they are cheering that is a nice touch. The sprints are also good. The spectators look like people and they look like they are cheering. When the characters do their special moves the springs are amazing. The controls are for the most part good in this game. The only thing I have is some of the characters seem sluggish while others do not. Ed Honda is one that sometimes he feels sluggish compared to Blanka. As far as lagging is going on. I really did not see any lags in this game. I guess because there is no scrolling stages or anything like that. After all this is a fighting game.

Sound: 10
The sound in this game is great. I like the characters theme. Blanka's, Guile's, Sagat's and Zangief's themes are my favorite in the game. I like how a lot of the themes have awesome tunes to them. Not to mention a lot of the themes have an upbeat tempo to them. Sometimes it is so nice to just pause the game and listen to the music. I have done that so many times. Capcom really did good on the sound track. For those that do not know Capcom also made a very popular video game franchise called Mega Man. Mega Man has awesome sound tracks. So does this I mean you can tell Capcom put in an extra effort here. I also like the sounds of the fighters make when they hit each other it sounds like they are really trading blows. My favorite fighting sound is Blanka's electricity move it sounds so shocking, no pun intended. What is funny is the way the fighters moan and groan whenever they lose a fight and get knocked out. I find that sound funny especially Honda's sound it sounds like he says wooo when he gets knocked out. So Street Fighter II had very good and comical sounds.

Addictiveness and Depth: 9
Street Fighter is a fun game to play. I really like the replay value in this game. It is fun to pick a new fighter each time and see what each fighter has to offer in terms of abilities. In this special addition of Street fighter there are 12 warriors to chose from. To me that adds depth because of the choices and not to mention it is fun to play the game each time with a different character.  Also you get to see all the fighting stages in this game which is quite nice. Now how long is the game? The length of the game varies it depends on how well you do in the fights. If you keep losing it will take a while, if you keep winning it will not take as long.. I mean each fight has two rounds in, 3 if you win one and then lose one. So depending on how good you are depends on the time it takes to finish this game. In addition, there are 12 stages to get through so that is going to take some time. I did not give the depth a perfect score for one reason. There is only 12 stages to go through. The depth depends on how good you are at Street Fighter. If you are average like me than this game will take a while.

Difficulty: 8
I found this game to be hard to rate difficulty. After all it is a fighting game. The difficulty is going to vary depending on who you pick and how good you are. Overall I think players will find this game can be tough. Some of the fighters (warriors) that gave me problems were Blanka, Sagat and Ryu. Ryu game me trouble because he would not stay out of my way he loves to close in on you and do his super uppercut on you. Sagat is a pain he likes to throw his tiger fireball at you, uppercut you, and can do his knee attack. Not to mention Sagat is just fast. Blanka is tough because he is powerful, he can grab you, release electricity, bit you, and he is just so fast. However, those are the three that gave me the most trouble. I think if this is your first time playing this game it will be tough to beat. I remember getting KO'ED a lot when I first played this game. Once you become familiar with the fighters it is not that bad. Thus, I give Street Fighter a good rating of 8 on difficulty.

Endings: 9
I'm going to highlight some of the characters I have played with endings. It is hard to do a walkthrough of this game because it is a fighting game and each player has different ways they try to win with. For the most part, I really liked how the endings are in this game, some are touching and some are comical it just depends on who you pick. Blanka's ending he not only becomes champion but he is reunited with his mother. Guile's ending is that he brings Bison into custody and then returns back home to his family. Sagat's ending is he gets his championship back. Zangief becomes a champion and a Russian hero, he starts dancing. Ed Honda becomes the top sumo Championship (Yokuzana not talking about the late WWF Wrestler named after that title) and proves that Sumo wrestlers are top fighters. Chun LI avenges her families death and goes back to being a top detective. Those are the characters i play with the most. I did not want to give away all the endings in this game.

Overall: 9
This game was a fun game to play. I can remember saving my money to buy this when it first game out. I remember playing it a lot. It is still a fun game to play. I like playing through this game with different characters. If you noticed I made several references to Blanka. Blanka is my favorite street fighter and thus when I play this game I usually use him in my first play throughs. This game's graphics and sound are really good. Street Fighter turned out to be a huge hit for Sega when Sega was at its peak. If your looking for a good fighting game that does not have a lot of blood like Mortal Kombat does (yeah the blood in the Mortal Kombat games bothers some people) than this is a good fighting game for you. If you are looking for a good fighting game than this is a good one. So great game overall

Street Fight II Review   Zircron Swift
Lets see....Street Fighter II, Super Street Fight II, Street Fight II Turbo Edition, Super Street Fight II Turbo Edition, Hyper Street Fight II, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Hyper Turbo Street fighter II: Special Champion XD Platinum Alpha Players Choice Game of the Year Edition Plus....Ah, here we are, Street Fight II Special Champion Edition. Always as abundant as the Mega Man games, this game was considered one of the best fighting game franchises ever made. Made famous for it's simple yet strategic fighting game play and of course, the "Hadoken" and "Sonic BOOM" special moves. I'm not sure it'll ever beat Super Smash Bros. but I'm sure it's a fun game. So lets get in the  middle of the action and see how this game fairs.
So the story is that several fighters from around the globe are competing to be the worlds greatest fighter. Not much of a story, but if you complete the game in 4-6 star difficulty, you'll get that characters special ending, which adds replay value and story at the same time. So each character has his own set of moves and own combination of moves. I don't see why they have to have a completely different way of  executing a move. Wasn't the same combination good enough to make different moves happen with different characters? So I have to   learn all the different sets to become the true master? Oh wait, some characters have the same combination, or very very similar, but the  do the same thing as well.....I'll just stick with one character. The much loved  Ryu. He has three special moves (four in Hyper Mode, more on that  later), so I suppose the others have that as well. These are probably  the easiest to preform. Simple Down, Down-right, Right, Punch for a  Hadoken. There are some more, but I'll look at those later, lets play!
The graphics are not that bad, but why is that guy green? Now he's yellow-green when I'm fighting him. The music is pretty nice, but why do the voices sound like they are talking in front of a fan? I'm going to say Sonic BOOM next time I see a fan. So there are two Styles of  playing, Normal Mode and Hyper Mode. Hyper mode is simply Normal Mode,  only played as a faster rate. This is good after you played the game  once, and want a faster paced game. The normal mode is like a a story  mode, just beat everyone and your the champion. Each style is  split up into three modes, Single Player, Vs. and Group Battle. Single player is simply beat everyone, one by one. Vs Mode is you play  against another character, but you can also disable certain moves from those characters.Group Battle is exclusive to this edition, as you get to fight Five Vs.Five, how insane.....
So as you fight, you have a life bar. If that goes down completely, you've lost. You need to win two our of three rounds to win the fight, and advance to the next character. In this game, the boss characters are now playable characters, which is pretty sweet. Always wanted to  player as M.Bison? You can now. So the game play is a little stiff, you gotta learn to do the specials right, other wise, when you want to do them when you need to most, you won't be able to. And that could result in a lose. You can jump backwards, which is cool, and is a lot faster than walking backwards. Some characters can slide to attack, some can grab in mid-air, and some can stomp on you. So there's a lot of variation with the moves here.
There are two types of attacks, Punching, and Kicking. You have three types of punches and Kicks. Light, medium, and heavy. Each dealing their own amount of damage. Light and medium are helpful to preform throws, and heavy are good to deal high amounts of damage. The  power of the kick or punch also determines the speed of your special. The heavier the attack, the faster the special. There are also bonus  rounds you will come across, where you have to beat up a car, break some barrels, and smash some bricks. The car one is the hardest,  but these are just to increase your score. An odd thing about this game is that when you get a game over, you keep your score, and 1 point  added for every game over you have. I was able to get up over a million points before I was able to complete the game.
Some characters are harder than others to defeat. E.Honda is probably one of the hardest.....The Sumo wrestler in case you didn't know.  The differently for four stars is pretty balanced out, some are easy, some are really hard. But M.Bison at the end is just....He is the  hardest. You would have thought that four stars would make it feasible. But no, it's almost impossible. At first, it was a great challenge, but  after 50 continues, it's just stupid! I.....oh......um......Remember when I skipped on learning Ryu's other moves.....Yeah, you should always  learn their full set of moves. It turns out punching, kicking, and doing Hadokens isn't enough. Apparently learning is Hurricane Kick helped me defeat M.Bison very quickly. Well, what do you know? I feel pretty silly now for getting angry about that. But now I can't stop thinking of this game! It's like an addiction. Although I am pretty tired of the game. I'll give it a rest and continue fighting another day.
Overall, I give this game a 8.2/10 This game is very challenging and is good if people want a challenge. I wouldn't say it's the best fighting  game out there, but I would say for it's time. The game is enjoyable, but can be frustratingly addictive if you keep losing. Just learn all their moves and your set. If you like fighting games, you'll love this game, and it's a good place to get people into fighting games. But I prefer  Super Smash Bros. because of the simpleness of it all. I mean, press B for a Special Attack, each character has a unique special, and  your done. Is that so hard? Well, this game makes it harder for people to do that, so I suppose this is for the pros. Happy Fighting!

Street Fighter 2 Special Championship edtion review   SuperCrash64
Graphics -
Street Fighter 2  has always had a rich. Sharp. And cartoonist style to graphics  as far as the Sega Genesis Port of the game goes the graphics are pretty grainy.  compared to its rival the Super Nintendo. Regardless the Sega genesis did its best. I cant really blame the system it could only put out 64 colors on screen.so the graphics gets a -6 the graphics are not really that bad.
Sound as far as sound quality the sound is very scratchy . Soundtrack the soundtrack is good it mainly has a drum like feel it just haves more bass to it . Were the arcade has more umps in it  .So Sound and Soundtrack wise, it gets a -7 its really not that bad . Considering the limited compatibility that the Sega genesis had.
Addictiveness:  The main reason  I always found street fighter 2 addicting was because of its wacky sound effects and neat button combos I feel the same way about Sega genesis version . So Addictiveness .  I give it a 10 because it rather resembles the arcade version in a neat way
Story-
like the arcade original M.bison always tries to take over the world  .A lot of fighting games use this story line .The only difference is the final bosses .Other than that Story wise. Its gets 5 nothing really new .
Depth -
Street fighter 2 in the arcades had solid button combos wacky sound effects and  a computer opponent setting . The only Thing Different about  the Sega genesis it has a hyper mode. Which can  make the game go crazy fast depending on what setting you have it on.
. So Depth it gets a 8 offers  a lot of the arcade features and some extra ones
Difficulty -
I said before . Street fighter 2 offers a  computer difficulty  option which is through 1/7 difficulty . In general it really depends on how well you Play the game .For me its not that hard so difficulty gets a 6. Regardless The bonus stages and The entire game well take some time  to Master at it. You wont get everything completely perfect on the first try it takes practice .
Final Verdict -  Street fighter 2 has always been a huge commercial success that s why you still see games like this on many platforms today even on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3  .And to be honest the Sega genesis version is.  Rather a well done port considering the limited compatibility that the system had . So I give the game a B which is also a 9.0 .
More reviews coming soon .
P;S thanks to mrfe for helping me out with punctuation marks and everything :D
