Thank you for all the kind hellos!   I am rather disappointed I can't save my Zelda game on the VNES Java Emulator.  I'm playing on a macbook pro and the Java applet that generates the save code is incompatible with the copy/paste commands of the mac operating system.  I can SEE the save code, but I can't copy it.  It's like it's taunting me.

Mac users will not be able to save the Zelda game if they use the VNES Java Emulator.  There are a couple of problems but the most insurmountable of them is the incompatibility of the Java applet that generates the save code with the mac operating system. If someone can figure out a way around this then I found a couple other Mac specific notes that might help others:1.  Anyone using a Mac laptop after 2008 will need a USB keyboard with a number pad in order to save without dying.  The number pad is required for the use of Controller2, which is required for the cheat code that allows you to save without dying.  Mac laptops built after 2008 no longer have embedded number pads in their keyboards.         2.  If the cheat code doesn't show up when you hit F10, try checking your system preferences setting for expose shortcuts.  Expose and Spaces options can be set to show the application windows, all windows or the desktop using keys such as F10.  If you use F10 for one of these system preferences, it will take priority over the in-game function that lets you call up the cheat code to access your saved game.  You will need to remove the system preferences shortcut from F10 before you will be able to retrieve your save code.                              Thank you for the save instructions and the YouTube video!  As it turns out I had a few unique quirks to my setup, so I thought I'd post them here in case they help someone else.quarks

jlh :  Thank you for the reply.  I don't really have any plans regarding posts or threads.  Were you asking for a specific reason?  I might be able to give a better answer if I understood why you wanted to know.  quarks

Hello Vizzed members,

My name is quarks and I've just joined Vizzed.

I noticed that the new members seem to be making new threads to introduce themselves.  I've followed the trend here. However, I'd propose making one thread for introductions so it can be easily browsed, and separate the hellos from any other "newbie" business.
