For those of you who have believed the news that a lot of people had thought that Minecraft Java Edition is being killed, you have jumped to some conclusions a bit too quickly, because AntVenon on Youtube had recently made a video which counters that, and they even show proof. You can watch the video at https://youtu.be/LoedFDVYmbw, where I hope would allow some of you who were on the server and believing that Java Edition was going to die - and I know there are a few there - learn otherwise, just like I did when I watched this video.

I don't think they will kill it off anytime soon, the game is still too big at the moment for them to just stop it, and besides. Even if they do stop the game people will still make servers for the game (similar to Star Wars Battlefront 2 when GameSpy stopped the servers for the game, the fans made their own, or even Lego Universe). Seriously though, it wont end for another 10+ years so why are they trying to make it a thing now? It doesn't make sense.

I hadn't actually heard the rumor until now. It's a little silly to think that Microsoft and Mojang would shut down Java Minecraft this soon. There are still a lot of hold outs that haven't upgraded to Windows 10 and don't intend to, either. For that matter, what about other platforms? Do Linux and Mac run the Java version? It wouldn't be very smart for them to do so.
