Over the weekend I'm going to be fleshing this out MUCH more, but I wanted to do 2 things:
1. Run it past everyone to get their opinion on whether this is a game design path that could be pursued, and
2. Get everyone's ideas for more cards.

A card game based on Vizzed seems like it would be a really cool idea, and I think I have a solid set of a few ideas down. Now, it isn't near done (as the aspect of this Vizzed site is huge when you get into the specifics of it), but I honestly believe these ideas hold weight. I seriously believe that once the core idea is complete, this may be what David uses when he eventually makes the card game for real.

Anywho, the following are a few of the specifics I have in mind:

Title of Game - Vizzed: The Card Game (work in progress)
Type of Game - Casual, family card game.
How to win - Get your opponents banned from Vizzed (not from real Vizzed, from the card game).

1. At the start of your turn, you take a 100-Viz card (for logging in). Also existing in the game are a 200-Viz card, 300, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, and 10,000. These are what you use to buy various items and "actions" in the game.

2. Players draw from a shared deck, to be placed in the center of everyone as the game begins (with the Vizzed: The Card Game logo on the backs).

3. There also exists a seperate deck called the RGR (with a unique back design) which players can only draw from by using various "Plugin" cards. Different "Plugin" cards allow you to draw different amounts of cards from this deck. This deck gives 2 different bonuses per card, one Normal bonus and one Staff bonus. These bonuses can range anywhere from extra Viz or a rank increase! Staff may decide to use the Normal bonus instead of the Staff bonus, but they cannot use both. Players cannot use Staff bonuses on RGR cards.
Example: The Magnifying Glass allows Normal players to glance at the top 3 cards of the Vizzed deck, but Staff are allowed to look at another player's hand.

4. To rank up (minimum Normal rank, maximum Global Mod), you need a certain amount of Community Points (CP) which is obtained by closing a Thread. You do this by "posting" (playing Post cards) and each Post card also gives small Viz rewards (max 500). Thread cards must be in play to play Post cards (Thread cards are obtained through the main deck along with Posts) and each Thread requires a different amount of Posts to close it (anywhere from 2-5 or so). Once a Thread is full, it becomes "closed" but the player who closed it receives all the CP that thread was worth! Sound confusing? Hope not.
Each rank will require a different amount of CP, such as Trusted needing 200 CP, Elite being 1,000, Global being 5,000, etc.

5. You also get CP by playing a Vizzer card (such as Davideo7, JigSaw, Geeogree, or LegacyMe3) however Vizzers are unlike normal cards and actions. Vizzers remain in a separate zone, accessible to all players once they're active. Each Vizzer requires different things to "meet" them and activate their effect, but any player can do this at almost any time. So play Vizzers wisely!

6. Still trying to work in how Trust Points are obtained, what different Ranks mean as far as bonuses, and other aspects of Vizzed. It's a lot to cover. Ideas will help greatly!

That's what I have as far as rules go, so far. It sounds confusing at first, but hopefully once I get a database of cards to go along with these rules, I can post a legible ruleset. I also have a few ideas for the Vizzers, but hopefully you guys can also add to the collection.

The types of cards are as follows:
- Post cards: Basic junk, worth X Viz for playing it, and X CP goes to whoever closes the Thread this card is used with.
- Thread cards: Basic cards to play basic junk. Each one allows Post cards a place to go, so naturally there will be less Threads than Posts. Each one gives a parameter to close it (usually between 2-5 Posts or so).
- Viz cards: Kept in a separate Bank for ease of use (like Monopoly money). Only given through card effects or playing Posts.
- Action cards: Allow a lot of randomness in the game. Anything from surprise Suspension making a player skip their turn, winning a Jersey to get extra CP or a card they couldn't usually draw. Idk. This is the hardest set of cards to make.
- RGR cards: Allows two different bonuses, Normal and Staff. Only one effect can be used per usage of the card, though.
- RTR cards: Same as RTR, except accessed a different way. Likely through the TV item. Cards may allow extra draws, peeking at another's hand, etc. Maybe just a steady Viz income. Idk yet.
- Item cards: Anything from the Item shop, really. Scissors for making a player discard a card, Plugins of various degrees (such as Virus Plugin or Advanced Plugin), the Sword of Vizzed for drawing any card from any deck or selling for X,000 Viz. Idk. This is the 2nd hardest set of cards to create, just behind the Action cards.
- Vizzer cards: These are the best cards in the game. Immediate CP upon playing, and a powerful effect to anyone who can meet the requirements.

So far, these are the Vizzer cards I've thought of so far (no, these aren't final, and yes I realize these will summon them all to this thread):
Davideo7 : Placed in the Control Panel at the start of the game, not available by card. Lucky users who are graced with his presence (by deducting a lot of Trust Points or CP or something (likely 100 or 500) and still being Elite or above afterwards) gets to roll a die. Davideo7 will pass judgment based on the die roll: 1- Ban a player, 2- Draw 3 cards, 3- Make a player discard 3 cards, 4- Get 10,000 Viz, 5- Lose 5,000 Viz, 6- End your turn immediately.
geeogree : Those lucky enough to play him get their CP doubled upon his entry. A player may give him 100,000 Viz to lay the Ban Hammer down on a player.
legacyme3 : I don't know enough about him to make a proper card I've heard a speed-based card would properly capture his personality, so give me some ideas on what that might mean. Maybe allowing a player to shuffle their hand into the deck and redraw?
JigSaw : Random and strange, but serious when it counts. Players who play him roll a die immediately and get 100xCP based on the roll. Those who are willing to lower themselves a rank are able to draw a card from any deck they want, whether they have the proper allowances to do so or not.

That's all I have so far. I'd love to see your guys' ideas as well. Whether it be Vizzers/effects or possible Action cards that might be usable for this game. I hope I've explained enough details to where it sounds like an actual game and not nonsense lol.

As I said, spent a lot of time on the weekend fixing up the semantics and specifics. Here's what I have now, so far:

Vizzed: The Card Game

Important Note: THESE RULES AND CARD DATABASES ARE NOT FINISHED!!!

Type of Game: Family Card Game
Objective: Get your opponents banned from Vizzed.

General Rules/Specifics:
0. At the start of the game, each player draws 3 cards from the Vizzed Board deck and 2 cards from the Post deck. Each player also gets 3,000 Viz (six 100-Viz cards, five 200-Viz cards, three 300-Viz cards, and a 500-Viz card).
1. At the start of each turn, the turn player gets a 100-Viz card (for logging in). That player also draws either a Post card from the Post deck or 1 card from the Vizzed Board deck.
2. This game uses multiple decks: A Vizzed Board deck (with the Vizzed logo on the back), a Post deck, Retro Game Room deck, an Item Shop deck, and The Private Forum. At the beginning of the game, shuffle each of these decks and deal 5 cards to each player from the Vizzed Board deck. Also, flip 5 cards from the top of the Item Shop deck and set them nearby. This becomes the Item Shop. Specifics:
- Vizzed Board deck: Accessible by anyone, no matter Rank. Filled with a various array of cards. Placed next to the Post deck at the start of the game, for ease of use.
- Post deck: Filled with the Post cards necessary to advance in the game. Accessible by anyone, no matter Rank. Placed next to the Vizzed Board deck at the start of the game, for ease of use.
- Retro Game Room deck: Only available by players who have one of the various Plugin cards in play, or Staff.
- Item Shop deck: At the start of the game, flip 5 cards face-up from this deck and set them nearby. This is the Item Shop, available to all players. On your turn, you can spend Viz to buy an item and take it's card, using it immediately or putting it in your hand. Then flip the top card of the Item Shop deck to replace it.
- The Private Forum: Only available to Mods or Admins. Very good or very fun cards are found within this deck.
3. This game also uses a "Bank" which houses the sorted out Viz cards of various amounts which exist for whenever a player earns them. The Bank is not a deck and cannot be drawn from.
4. Each rank requires a certain number of Community Points (CP) to rank up. The Ranks are Normal (your starting Rank), Trusted, Elite, Staff, Local Moderator, Global Moderator, and Administrator.
5. CP are cardboard cutout coins, with either 1, 3, or 5 printed on it. These are usually earned through "Posting". This involves a combination of Playing Threads, and playing enough Posts to "close" that Thread. CP can only be earned from "Posting" after a player "closes" a thread, and only the player which "closes" the Thread earns the collective total of CP given by the contents of the Thread.
6. Included is a Rank Bar, which is a cardboard insert allowing players to keep track of their rank, along with the bonuses each rank awards the player once reached. Each rank gives an additional effect to the bonuses below it.
7. Playing a Vizzer card immediately gives you a certain number of "Trust Points" (TP) which are used for various card effects from The Private Forum and even certain Vizzer effects! However, Vizzers stay in play once played, and may be accessed by any player upon meeting a certain requirement. Each Vizzer card has a different requirement to use their effect.
8. Discarded cards are set aside in one collective pile. These cards are referred to in-game as "The Trash Can".

Types of Cards:
1. Rank Bar Insert
Each player starts at Normal level. Each Rank above Normal gives an extra bonus along with every bonus of every rank below it (meaning an Admin gains each of these bonuses). Ranks and their bonuses are as follows:
- Normal: No bonus given.
- Trusted [Requirement: 10 CP]: Playing a Vizzer card gives you 1 additional Trust Point.
- Elite [Requirement: 25 CP]: Extra 100 Viz at the start of your turn.
- Staff [Requirement: 50 CP]: Instead of drawing from the Vizzed Board deck at the start of your turn, you may draw from the RGR deck instead.
- Local Moderator/Local Mod [Requirement: 75 CP]: Once per turn, you may discard to card to draw a new card from any deck.
- Global Moderator/Global Mod [Requirement: 100 CP]: Once per turn, you may randomly steal a card from an opponent's hand or roll a die and steal up the the amount rolled x100 Viz.
- Administrator/Admin [Requirement: 150 CP]: Once per turn, you may search The Trash Can for any card and put it in your hand.
2. Viz cards
Found in the Bank. These cards are sorted and set aside, then given to players whenever necessary.
- 100
- 200
- 300
- 500
- 1000
- 5000
3. Posts
Found in the Post deck. Each with a fun description or quote written for flavor. These give a player a certain amount of Viz immediately upon playing it (usually between 100 and 1000). There is also an amount of CP that are only obtained when a Thread which includes this card is "closed" (usually between 1 and 5).
4. Threads
Found randomly in the Vizzed Board deck. Each has a fun description or question written for flavor. Threads allow "Posts" to be played, which are set atop the Thread the player decides to use their Post on. Each Thread has a number near the name, often 2-5, which is how many "Posts" are required to "close" the Thread. After a Thread is "closed", the Thread and all Posts within it are discarded after CP is awarded.
5. Action cards
Found randomly in the Vizzed Board deck. These randomize the game. Examples:
- Downvote! Choose one player and make them discard a card.
- Post reward error in your favor! Gain 500 Viz.
- Somebody sent you a Like! Draw a card from the Vizzed Board deck.
- Upvote! Gain 5 CP.
- Somebody trusts you! Gain 1 Trust Point.
- You won a Gaming Tournament! Gain 2,000 Viz.
- Hackers destroyed the Shop! Shuffle all cards in the Item Shop into the Item Shop deck, then reveal 5 new cards from the Item Shop deck.
- Garbage picking can be cool! Put the top card of The Trash Can in your hand, no matter Rank.
- You won the Vizzed Championship Series! Gain 5,000 Viz.
- It's your birthday! Gain 5,000 Viz. Gain an additional 5,000 Viz, 100 CP, and 5 TP if you can prove the day you play this card is your real-life birthday.
6. Item cards
Found in the Item Shop deck. Five are revealed at the beginning of the game, and usually have very good effects. Available by anyone, no matter Rank, but cost Viz. Examples:
- Sword of Vizzed: 100,000 Viz. Discard this card to Ban a player.
- Shield of Vizzed: 100,000 Viz. Discard this card to prevent being Banned once.
- Netplay: 10,000 Viz. When a player buys this card, they must discard it. Each player gains as much CP as necessary to advance to the next Rank.
- Beta Test Ticket: 10,000 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. Discard this item to draw a card from any deck, no matter what Rank you are.
- Game Accelerator: 15,000 Viz. Play this card face-up in front of you. Whenever you gain Viz, you get an extra 100 Viz. Whenever you gain CP, you get 1 extra CP. Whenever you draw from any deck, you draw 1 extra card.
- V-Machine: 25,000 Viz. Play this card face-up in front of you. Whenever you draw a card at the start of your turn, you may also draw a card from the RGR deck.
- Retro Plugin: 1,000 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. Discard it to draw 2 cards from the RGR deck.
- Modern Plugin: 5,000 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. At the start of your turn, instead of drawing from any other deck, you may draw a card from the RGR deck.
- Advanced Plugin: 10,000 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. Once during each of your turns, you may choose a number. Discard that amount of cards to draw the same number of cards from the RGR deck. You cannot choose a number higher than the amount of cards in your hand.
- Infinity Plugin: 30,000 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. Whenever you draw a card from any deck at any time (except by this card's effect), you may also draw a card from the RGR deck.
- Axe: 200 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. Discard it to choose a player. That player discards a card.
- Cannon Ball: 200 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. A player with this card and Cannon in front of them may discard both to Ban a player of their choice.
- Cannon: 2,000 Viz. Play this item face-up in front of you. A player with this card and Cannon Ball in front of them may discard both to Ban a player of their choice.
7. Retro Game Room
Only accessible to Staff, or players who have bought a Plugin or the V-Machine from the Item Shop. Bonuses not found anywhere else! Examples:
- Play this card in front of you face-up. At the beginning of each turn, you gain an extra 200 Viz.
- Discard this card to buy one random Item from the Item Shop for free. (turn face-down and shuffle all 5 Items, then randomly pick one. Reveal the remaining Items afterwards, then flip a new Item to fill the gap)
- Play this card face-up in front of you. At the start of your turn, instead of drawing any cards, you may instead gain 1,000 Viz.
8. The Private Forum
Secret cards only available to Local Mods, Global Mods, and Admins. Very powerful or very fun. Examples:
- Forum Owner's Bronze Voucher: Usable only by a player with 1 TP. Buy 1 Item from the Item Shop for free.
- Forum Owner's Silver Voucher: Usable only by a player with 3 TP. Effect still in development.
- Forum Owner's Gold Voucher: Usable only by a player with 6 TP. Effect still in development.
- Forum Owner's Platinum Voucher: Usable only by a player with 10 TP. Ban a player of your choice.
- You accessed the Underground! Search the Vizzed Board deck for any 1 card and put it in your hand.
- Thread closed! You may choose one Thread in play. It is now considered closed. You gain all CP and bonuses given upon closing that Thread.
- Ban Hammer! Your CP becomes 0 and your Rank becomes Normal. Ban a player of your choice.
- Betrayed Trust! When you play this card, you may steal any number of face-up cards in front of any player by paying 2 TP per card stolen.
9. Vizzers
Powerful cards that often allow players to Ban opponents or gain an overwhelming lead. Once played, Vizzers are available to any player, but each require a heavy cost to use their effects. Examples:
- Davideo7 (Rank: Owner): Removed from the deck at the start of the game and placed in the "Control Panel". An Admin can reduce their Trust Points by 3 to Ban a player. Global Mods require 5 Trust Points. Local Mods require 8 Trust Points.
- Geeogree (Rank: Admin): Pay him 200,000 Viz to Ban a player.
- JigSaw (Rank: Admin): Roll a die. 6- Ban a player, 5- Draw 3 cards, 4- Make opponent discard 3 cards, 3- Get 10,000 Viz, 2- Lose 5,000 Viz, 1- End your turn immediately.
- LegacyMe3 (Rank: Global Mod): ? (still in production)
- Light Knight (Rank: Elite): ? (still in production)

- 200
- 300
- 500
- 1000
- 5000

- Shield of Vizzed: 100,000 Viz. Discard this card to prevent being Banned once.

Before I move it, is it going to be a video game (ROM) or will it be a forum game and played via posting?

I'm not familiar enough with TCGs to be much help, but it's clear you've put a lot of thought into this.

Eirinn : This could and should become a real Card Game. Like a box game e.g. "Munchkin", "Apples to Apples", or "Fact or Crap" that you could buy at a hobby shop for, like, $19.99 or so. Depends on how much is added to the game.

This looks fun, but at the same time it looks sooooo confusing lol. Though if it were to be a real card game, I doubt more than a handful of users would actually pay to buy one.
