I'm sorry David. I was just very very annoyed, it was extremely frustrating to be browsing and have the board constantly become unresponsive to key commands.
Sure it might be beneficial, but features that are rude and in your face like that one was really p*** me off.

One thing to remember: You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.
If you make a feature it most likely will be criticized as you can't make everyone happy.
Don't take it to heart, it's not an attack against you or your skills.

Apology accepted. Next time though just make a suggestion instead. And I actually didn't mean to leave it like that, forgot to change it back to clicking it and it auto highlights (though I'm keeping the auto highlight in the RGR to draw attention to it, for now anyway).

Well, I feel like I should comment here a little bit since I'm one of the people that criticize a lot.

Most of my criticism (now) is based from a perspective of making the features as good as possible. I think every idea needs to be talked through by at least a few other people so that different perspectives can be put on it to make sure that it will have the greatest range of appeal.

I completely agree that things like the RGR have been a huge success. I only criticized it because I wanted the board to stay the way it was. I knew it would change the atmosphere of the board. Instead of getting on board with your ideas (since it's your board) I worked against you.... well, we all know where that got me .

And DH is right. You can't please everyone all the time. But giving people the option to turn off the things they don't like is all I really ask for .

Making features optional is a lot of extra time but I will definitely keep those things in mind when I've got a little extra time to do those things.

for sure. That's understandable.... but I think it is an important consideration for a lot of people.

People love to customize things. Or at least I do.

I really like the new features, but I think that the Notifications can be a little tiresome for users like me who get a lot of posts on threads, because I have a lot of them... I think there should be a button to turn the Notifications for thread replies off... I think it is a great feature for newbies though

I like the new features, they make me happy how I don't have to constantly look at new posts to see if anyone posted anything on any of my threads. THANK YOU!

I love the notifications and announcements. Being able to see what people post without having to go looking is awesome. I would like to see something that let's you know when someone post something after you in any category cause sometimes they post something directly goes to what you say!!

For those who don't know, here's how to set a thread as a favorited thread:
In the thread, directly below the 'New Poll' button, you'll see a link titled 'Add to favorites', click that; that's it. To remove a favorite, the 'Remove from favorites' link will be in the same spot. To view all your favorites, you should see a link titled 'Favorites' toward the top of every page where the links are, it should be the top link directly below the vizzed board banner.

I just spent the morning enhancing the referral feature.

Now when someone uses your referral link, the notification you receive will show where they came from and the referral url they used. Also, each person's profile will show these same stats as well as who referred them (if this info is available).

Does the URL work for older referrals? I just got one like a week ago and have no clue who it is

This is very handy. Though I have an other optional feature to recomend.

It would be useful to make a feature that automatically makes a thread favorited when you post in it, it would be optional.

It's really only for lazy people, but I figure if it wasn't to much trouble it'd be handy.
