A lot of people don't like 1.9 combat and I found out theres a plugin for minecraft servers that makes the combat 1.8 again and I asked mrfe if they would ever use it and he said it depended how many people were interested so thats the point of this thread.

I don't care either way. 1.9 combat is great for grinders but not great for fighting monsters. I'm assuming based on what I see that all it does is remove the cooldown so it might not affect the sword swing or axe swing.

However, if we want a 1.8 world then we should just have a 1.8 world. Otherwise I think we should stick with 1.9 or 1.10 stuff instead. 1.9 combat didn't ruin the game it simply made it a challenge again.

geeogree : I should of read into it more before posting it sounds like you can make it to only certain worlds use it so it could of been done only in greenerous and genrody thats my bad

Sonicolmstead : well, if we can pick the worlds it applies to then we could make the entire server except for Galrya roll back to 1.8 combat. That would work well in my opinion.

Still, it doesn't sound like this plug-in actually reverts everything back so it would leave a lot of problems in any of the older worlds for combat. Like armor would be reduced in effectiveness so the 1.8 damage would be even higher....

In terms of getting that 1.8 attack speed, you would have to nbt edit every melee item to have attack speed 7 or up. In the case of armor, there is a new armor nbt tag, the total armor cap is 30, but full diamond only gives 20, so nbt armor in a fair way and you can get improved armor that hopefully brings pseudo 1.8 armor.
