Is anyone else Excited for this movie?

I'll be honest, I NEVER cared for the Non main Harry Potter stuff, never read any of the other books, and I never cared about the movies, that was until I saw the trailer on Friday when I went to see The Jungle Book. I thought the trailer looked amazing and now I'm so stoked to see it when it comes out in November. It looks awesome, the setting and effects look just as good as the main movies AND THE MUSIC IS BACK

I saw a trailer for this while watching the Jungle Book and after seeing the trailer I am definitely excited about this one. The first trailer I saw didn't really draw me in but this one did a much better job of linking things about the Harry Potter movies into this new side project.

It really looks like a Harry Potter film now. This could easily turn the Harry Potter universe into a viable area for more projects like this. The world exists and now it's just a matter of getting screenplays for more things like this to be written. I for one would love that.

geogree: Well, I don't see them coming up with new ideas really, it's not like this is anything new, the book this is based on was released way back like when prisoner of Azkaban was released, and was officially written by Rowling. She's not doing anything new, and the only project that's actually new is the play.

I realize this book is not new but I think if this book to movie has success without the main Harry Potter cast being involved at all that it could very easily spawn some new stuff. You don't NEED Rowling in order to add to this universe. You just need her approval.

I didn't even know this was a thing, but it looks really good. I loved all the characters in the Harry Potter universe, but they focused mainly on the main ones (Obviously), it looks really cool. I'm looking forward to it.

Wow, a prequel spinoff? Now there's a rare combination of ideas. Although a Harry Potter Cinematic Universe (HPCU) could really go either way in terms of quality. Depends on how lazy the writers will be. Although this looks like it will be pretty good.

A user of this : yeah, it could go either way but I think the HPCU as you called it will likely be quite good. I see it having the same potential as Star Wars does right now. I think the average fan would rather see more of the universe than not. I know I would.

And Jungle Book was entertaining. I really liked it and my kids liked it too. I would recommend seeing it for sure.

The thing I might end up liking the most about this one is that it takes place in New York, which can open up a whole lot more in terms of opportunities when it's not in the same place like the others were filmed.

Whoa, like whoa. :O Although, I was never a Harry Potter fan I have to say, that was gorgeous looking! It's been a long time since I've felt this excited about a movie-- and live action too (not sure what the appropriate word is for here). I mainly try to stick to animated movies, since I feel it does a better job at building plot than most movies my family and I tend to watch (superhero, documentary, sci-fi, based on a true story). However, I would stray from the path of mine if it means that I'll watch that! Then again.... I'd have to watch all the movies in order to understand this one, huh? Welp, time to binge watch.

Oh wow this looks like a pretty cool film to watch! I might just watch it. I've never read the books of it though sadly. But the heck I'm all up for seeing the film in the cinema! It looks so exciting and it delivers something not many films would do. And I like this because it draw me in I loved the way the trailer build up from till how it ended. Now this is a film worth seeing.

I am so excited for this. I remember reading the spin off books (This, the stories of Beetle the Bard, and the Quidditch book) a long time ago, and I remembered I love reading every word of it.
Frankly, I'm not sure how they movie is gonna play out, considering the book was just pages of text describing various creatures with random comments from the character thrown in and there every now and again, but I'm really excited to see how they make it work.
