To be honest, my "hard question" is why someone is using such an account...

While I fully understand that a rereg is permittable by certain rules of the site and admission, it is a clear and blatant breaking of the rules to USE more than one account on this site at once. THIS, is what I shall do as a moderator... I shall show people that it's good to have fun, heck, even go so far as to BEND the rules! But you break said rule outright? My mother said you break it you pay for it... I think it works for a forum as well as life.

I see 15 applicants and unless I miscounted, only 13 campaign threads...
Hopefully those other 2 get something up within 24 hours, otherwise that whole remaining active part might not work in their favor...

Traditionally, it's against the rules. Yes. But seeing as I only plan on using it for this election to ask questions no one else will... I think people will understand. It doesn't make it right, but it does explain the why of it, which should satisfy anyone who honestly cares (only two people have even made note of it, Singelli, and now you, although Singelli has at least followed it up by being appreciative of what role I am choosing to play here).

The main reason the rule exists is to prevent CP/Viz/TP abuse, and to prevent banned members from coming back under another name.

Fortunately, I am not abusing CP, Viz, or TP, as none of those things matter to me, and I'm very open about my multiple accounts, that have existed since my time as a global (this account, VPFC Bot, davidlegacygreeme73, and leggy_test) All of which have existed at some point or another for either the purposes of a specific forum (VPFC Bot) or for global purposes that don't need to be made public (all of the other accounts).

That said, if anyone has a problem with it, I don't mind chatting with someone, and simply having another user post questions. It matters not to me if it is known the questions are being asked by me specifically, just that questions which may be important to come to our first (and possibly only) decision, get asked at all. You wouldn't charge into battle with no strategy, would you?

Rule breaking aside, yes, that was my intent. We, as a people, NEED answers. If every question was easy, then everyone would be qualified. We need to know who we are electing. Most won't know this, but as a global, I asked a lot of questions to potential moderators, to try and get to know them. The questions I'm asking now aren't THAT different from thee ones I'm asking now. Considering we went through a year, and had a supremely successful mod team, I think the process works.

I'm still not sure I like the idea of a public election. I think it's going to devolve into a popularity contest.

But I'm going to do all that I can to ensure that we have a level playing field and all the candidates answer questions that need to be answered.

SPEED LEGGY : you say you do not use your alt. Accounts for any Viz or cp benefit....yet by posting on all those accounts you gain Viz per post. Also, to be able to use multiple accounts to avoid a milestone? Has anyone else on this site had such a privileged moment? I as a moderator of this site would take care of such blatant rule breaking. Not that you have broken a rule...just the ones that do or will do not contribute to this site, they detriment it. Which many of us are quite tired of. Also, the PM you sent me was a flame and unnecessary, further proving this site needs a change.

I do want everyone to know they can ask you candidates questions though and I hope more people will.

Barathemos : yes, you are allowed to ask questions. I'm refraining from asking questions because I don't have time to ask questions of 15 different people but I think the candidates asking questions of each other would be great.

Barathemos : geeo okayed it, so go for it. Ask some tough questions just remember to keep it respectful. :3

I think this is a good idea, as long as it stays civil.

Who knows, if a mod hopeful likes another's answers, maybe they will drop out of the race to endorse them.

Of course as long as it stays civil. So far I think it has. Tough questions have been asked and tough issues have been brought up from the past.

I've seen lots of good answers and lots of bad answers which is revealing a lot about the candidates so far. I've got my mind made up pretty well about who I'm going to vote for but I don't want to decide too early. There are still chances for people to do or say things that could ruin their chances going forward.



Also, if anyone feels that another candidate has broken any of the election rules or that they are not holding up the spirit of the competition please report it to the admin inbox - https://www.vizzed.com/boards/sendprivate.php?userid=35912 and Jordan and I will review the information. Reporting another candidate will not affect your chances as a candidate unless you are caught lying about what other candidates are doing.

Good luck to all the candidates. I have been reading questions and answers from all the threads created... most of them answered most of the questions I had so I don't see a reason to reask the same question. May the best candidate win

Maybe I'm just being a little being a little impatient, and if I am correct me. But has anyone else noticed that this little experiment seems to be stalling out? A lot of the threads haven't been replied to since the 29th, and it seems only staff and mods are asking questions. Perhaps it needs more publicity?

geeogree : Admin can put out announcements, right? Maybe making a late announcement and editing the campaign links into your initial post for ease of access would bring more attention. Just a suggestion though.

m0ssb3rg935 : I agree with pretty much what you said, I haven't had a good question since SPEED LEGGY though he's no longer here. I love answering questions and wish to answer more. 

geeogree : I second his suggestion, but it is ultimately up to you whether you do so.

I might have done that if it were 2 or 3 days ago. However, today is voting day (of round 1 at least) so I'm not going to bother. I will make a thread about the election though and maybe I'll link to all the previous threads in that thread.
