I recently got a new laptop and I would like to play some RGR games, but all of my save files are on my old one. I know there is a way to transfer them, and I know I used to know how to do it, but I've honestly forgotten. Can someone walk me through it please?

tgags123 : If you're using 7, hitting the Windows native key and R at the same time brings up the Run window. You can find your files at C:ProgramDataVizzedVizzedRgrPluginUser-370334

I'm not certain if it's the same with 8 or 10, but it's worth a shot.

EDIT: Sorry about the picture/layout fail. I still haven't figured out how to edit out the layout after I've posted.

m0ssb3rg935 : It's Windows XP actually

Didn't work. There is no Vizzed folder in C:ProgramData. I tried it on my new laptop (Windows 10) and it worked, but the files are on the old one.

tgags123 :

Install the the plugin on new laptop so you got the vizzed folders in the 2 necessary places program data and one in X86 folder. This is also makes sure that the registry keys are noticed by windows. Then you will need something like a pendrive or a male to male USB cable. Copy all the the files from vizzed folders from your old laptop the one in program files and the X86 folder and copy and paste them over the ones on your new laptop. Just be sure that the rgr plugin is the same on both laptops.

dragonslayer444 : I think what he means is he doesn't remember the file paths. It's different for XP than it is for 7 and up.

tgags123 : I actually have an old laptop running XP. It may take me a little time, but I may be able to figure out the file paths again.

EDIT: I found it. Open the start menu and click My Computer, click search and look for VizzedRgr under all files and programs.

tgags123 : IF you are using windows XP - Start Menu > All Programs > Vizzed Retro Game Room > Open Plugin Data Folder > User-370334. In that folder you'd find the different game system folders and the "sav" folders under each.

This is of course if you are referring to save state files, and not in-game saves.
