Shown at E3, this really impressive level editor for Mario fans really looks like it could take off, allowing users
to create their own Mario games (well, 2d levels) while switching between a variety of different items and
tiles. It is set to be released in September.
According to some websites, the player will be able to switch from Super Mario Bros 3, World and the Retro
style graphics, while including the Wii U graphics aswell. Users will be able to play custom levels created by
other people. Although rumours have spread round saying that Nintendo are planning to sell the utility for
£55, it's probably best to wait till the price drops before grabbing the game.
Looking at some form of gameplay, users will be able to choose between a variety of enemies, ground
tiles and even more while choosing how their level is going to look like and play like. It might hit off,
but you never know.

I saw this on my news app on my phone, and I'm happy you made a thread about it. I'm very excited for this game, and it was very nice of Nintendo to make this game for Mario fans. This year is Mario's 30th anniversary too, which seems to be the main reason they created it. This will almost definitely make it to my Christmas list! By then the price should be a little cheaper, I think.

I think technically it looks fairly impressive but personally I don't really find it to interesting. I've never really wanted to create my own Mario levels and I'd rather play levels made by the developers instead of playing user created ones though that's just my personal preference. Though that is just me, if I want something aking to a level creator Minecraft is the closest I'll go, but yeah still a nice idea I suppose.

Zlinqx : Maybe the developers will make a few levels exclusively for this game, or feature levels from previous Mario games. We'll probably find out about that soon after Mario Maker's release.

I'll definitely be getting it on the day it comes out. This 9/11 won't be as near as sad as the previous ones.
Also, the EU is getting a mustard yellow case.

Well, on a closer look, it's "tentative packaging." Anywho...

I want a yellow case to make the already awesome game really pop, but... the US is getting a red case. So I guess it's kinda special...
What am I saying? Who cares about the case?! The game is awesome!
I don't care that it's the full price of a Wii U game. I'd argue that it's worth it, especially since you can get levels online. I'm no stranger to Kaizo Mario.

PacmanandMariofan : Maybe that would be kind of interesting actually, but I'd rather have a full game experience instead of a few levels.

Though them including levels from previous games seem kind of weird, I at that point you may as well just include the whole game únless it's like some really iconic one.
