I could not understand any of it, albeit I was watching a Spanish version at a friends house, but usually I get the point, and no this was not because I don't understand Spanish that is not the point of what I am saying I do or don't it is the programme I don't get.

Well I personally have never watched peppor pig and I actually had to look it up to know what you were talking about but to answer your question as to why it might be popular and liked across the world is possibly because people like whatever is put on TV. Back when adventure time was first aired everyone was crazy about that show. I don't understand why people like peppor pig in general but I guess it's just something to watch on television. If I was bored enough I would probably watch it myself. xP

I've actually seen quite a few episodes, because my niece loves the show. It's weird. It appeals to children, but I always use logic when I'm watching kids shows, which is why most of them make no sense to me. The weirdest thing about Peppa Pig is that everyone's house is on the top of an incredibly dangerous and steep hill. Their cars must have amazing parking brakes.

It is kind of silly and kind of funny, and they sometimes explain what some word means, for kids. It's not my thing. I try to get my niece and nephews to watch educational kids shows, that are also good shows. Like Dinosaur Train, I learn things on that show. Oh, and I love Wild Kratts, which is totally what this thread isn't about... Now, I'm just ranting... I'll stop.

I remember seeing part of an episode of this a while ago since it airs here on the kids channel. I'm not really sure why it's so popular, it doesn't really stand out to me, but I remember not really having a good reason for liking many of the shows I did when I was younger too, I suppose whatever entertains people.

I hate that show. I hate it with a burning passion. I babysat my little cousin for three weeks, and all day-- everyday it would be "Hi, I'm Peppa Pig!" *snort*. So freakin' annoying. And the thing is, Peppa's so rude and gross to her family and friends. My little cousin started acting like her, and oh-ho-ho no no no. No, I was done. So done! I asked my sister to watch her, while I went in another room to scream in a pillow.

In that episode, Peppa is scared of a spider, but Daddy Pig tells her, that there's no need to be afraid of spiders. Peppa even goes as far as picking it up and playing with it... The thing is, many of the world's most venomous spiders are in Australia, so teaching kids in Australia that spiders are friendly, could get some kids hospitalized.

I dont know why this show is so popular. My 2yr son used to watch this show, but when we watch with him, my wife and I thought that is a bad example for little kids. peppa is a spoiled brat, rude in many ways. I don't support this TV program because teaches kids how to be rude with their parents . seriously, if you're a parent and check this show, you'll be very disappointed and you'll know why.

I prefer my kid watch more learning shows than this and trust me, there are plenty educational TV shows on TV or Netflix

My 3 year old cousin watched it all the time. It is the dumbest show ever. I watched for 5 minutes and I think I lost 1,000 brain cells. This show is even more annoying than Caillou, the whiniest 5 year old boy of all time.

Anyway, I don't get it myself. I've seen quite a few episodes when my niece was over, and it seems so bland to me. Things like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse I understand. Lots of colors, lots of cheesy singing, and lovable characters. Maybe through the eyes of a child Peppa Pig comes off in a similar way. It's hard to understand the mind of a child sometimes. Or maybe it's because a lot of parents rely on TV to raise their kids, and Peppa Pig just happened to come out around the time it became more prevalent. I sure don't claim to understand any of it.
