Hey all! We apologize for the time between threads here, we've been working hard at finishing Devil's Nightmare (part 2) on time! We're happy to say, it's on schedule!

In the meantime, though, we had a pretty unique idea!

Want to build your own mini-game, in Phemcee's world?

I know, pretty cool, right?

Here's the best part...

It only costs 10,000 viz!

That's right! We're making it super cheap to build your own mini-game in our world! I've got even better news though!

If we keep it, you'll get 50% of it back!

That's right, 5,000 Viz back! So, basically, if you complete the mini-game (within our criteria, and we like it), you'll get half the Viz back! That's our way of saying 'we love that you built an awesome mini-game, and we're super stoked to host it!'

I'm sure you've got questions though, so let's dive into a few of those!

Wait, how many people can do this? Is this open to everyone?

It's open to absolutely everyone! ...Well, the first 3 people who accept the offer, that is! Because it's such a good offer (and because we don't want to fill up the whole world), we are limiting this to 3 mini-games at any given time.

Oh, I see. I guess that makes sense. Still, what happens if one of the original 3 gets removed? What then?

If that happens, I'll re-open this thread and offer the spot to the next person to take the offer! Pretty plain and simple, I think!

Ah, that's good to know. Wait, how does a mini-game get removed? Is there a way to lose your slot? Will my Viz get refunded?

Ooo, good question! If you don't finish your mini-game within 1 month, we will have to remove it. However, if you're making good progress (but just haven't finished it yet), we'll grant an exception. As Devil's Nightmare has proven, quality can take time. If we remove your mini-game, we'll refund 90% of your Viz (9,000 viz). We'll keep 1k of it, though, because we'll be helping at various points (set-up will involve us making TP's for you, perhaps even helping you build sometimes, things like that). 1k is the least we can take, so it's what we'll take.

Well... I'm partway through my mini-game, but I decided I don't want to finish it and want someone else to have the chance to build their mini-game. What happens then?

Another great question! If you leave a mini-game unfinished, we'll take all 10k of the Viz. That's our way to (hopefully) discourage leaving a mini-game unfinished! This is where the 1 month deadline applies as well. If you really haven't been making much progress after 1 month, we'll remove the mini-game and keep all the Viz. Again, this is to encourage you to finish the mini-game, because we really want to play your mini-game!

Hmm... So, what all will making a mini-game me? Do I just spend 5k, and let people play my mini-game? I mean, that's pretty awesome, but do I get any other perks?

When you build a mini-game with us, you'll get plenty of perks. For example, since both EM and I are admins, we have access to building command blocks. That means that you can charge people mViz to play (and receive the mviz, which can be exchanged into Viz at a reduced rate), you can add teleports and triggered texts, and various other neat features! Now, we won't have all day to help you out, but we can work out specific times that we'll be on the server to help you. We'll also check on you regularly when we're both online, so there will be ample opportunity to ask us for help. We'll also help with some of the materials, though you'll still be responsible to purchase any materials we don't give you. Oh, don't forget your personal 'Admin panel', with Teleports into each mini-game.

Another neat possibility is that Phemcee will possibly make a video of us playing through your mini-game!

-The game must be family friendly! We have many younger users playing on Vizzed's server, so we ask that the game remain friendly for all ages! If that just isn't a possibility with your idea, come chat with us, and we'll discuss further possibilities.
-You must be ok with EM and I exploring the game via creative mode! We have quite a bit of minecrafting experience, so we'll explore your mini-game and make sure it won't eventually break down!
-You should be able to beat anything you create! This way, you won't make a mini-game that's literally unbeatable. Despite how hard it may be, EM and I have been able to beat every level in DN. Without exception. We ask that you do the same! If it's a false path, and designed to be unbeatable, that's a totally different story.


Well... Glad that's over. Are we otherwise limited by what we can build?

Nope, not at all! You can build a HUGE mini-game, or a mini-game that is very small and quick to beat! There is no limit to what you do with your mini-game either, so go crazy! It can be challenge-based (like DN), or story based. Any genre you want works as well.

mrfe : II'd like to move my existing brain melter minigame there if possible. You've both played it at some point (though only EM actually completed it :p). I'm not sure if it qualifies though since it's alreasy finished and revolves mostly around talking with the host so it requires me to be online for anyone to play.

We like to stick with minigames that can be played with or without anyone else on the server. There's a few reasons for that.

Anyhow, that minigame was really fun. If you made a minigame based on it or made it automatized (somehow), we could look into adding it.

So, you won't remove my research facility, right? I'm still working on it, don't worry guys. It's not a waste of time. I'm just trying to figure out how I could make the "choose your own adventure" style with no coin to flip and no dice to roll. I have a possible idea but it'll be experimental. I will gladly take up this offer. I have an idea that I wanted to do, but becasue of the predicament of not being able to use command blocks, I cannot do so in my own place:

Capture the flag!

The basic idea is that there are two castles/forts/whatever that hold a flag, and fro 10 minutes a team of four players has to take the flag and return it to their own place as many times as possible. The team with the most flags wins.

The way this would work would be simple. On death, you only lose the flag, and only members of the same team can pick up enemy team flags. You cannot pick up your own teams flags. After a certain timer, the flag will be returned to it's home if no-one has picked it up. On gaining a point, the flag should disappear and a point will be added to a counter.

Each team starts off with some armour and some weapons. There would be more than one route to get the flag to add some strategy to the mix. Death would spawn to a place in your base that is close but not directly next to the flag. Only one flag can be held per team, to prevent multi-point scoring. Any items gained during Capture the Flag would be lost after the game.

I think there should be some hidden chests that have nice little goodies in as well. These are just basics to work on, and the whole  thing can be refined as the process continues. If you like the idea let me know : D I understand it is a team mini-game and that finding players might be a pain, so perhaps a team of three as the minimum would work as well.
