If my weekly fasting is any indication, I would be completely lethargic! You can "calm" your hunger by drinking water, but it won't give you any energy.

I would start having hallucinations. It would most certainly be very uncomfortable . I'd try not to move a lot, though, to conserve energy. It'd totally go wild and pig out after the week is over !

Wow this thread changed from a month to a week, that's weird..

I would drink a lot of milk, and more stuff like that that at leasts stills the hunger A LITTLE. It would still be very difficult and like hell.

imamonster : I change it from a month to a week because you can really die in a month. It's a way lower chance to die from a week.

I would play some video games to take my mind away from the hunger. Also watch anime. Also get on youtube.

I love food, once I could not eat for a week due to a bug, I love eating so this was the toughest two weeks ever. Just the thought makes me shiver.

At the very least my paycheck would be double due to the decrease in spending... on second thought, probably halved because I would pass out into a coma on day 3.  wouldn't be able to sit at home and watch movies either, because I need food to watch a movie.  If I'm allowed to drink coffee I think I would make it though XD

Oh drinks are allowed. Well I would drink smoothies that usually only body builders drink. It would give me energy though.

So I would really survive just by drinking nutrients. Take that thread I outsmarted you.

If I couldn't eat or drink for a week, I'd still be fine. Probably not as fine after 2 weeks and probably not around anymore after a month lol (Never tried to make it to a month ^^0) However, as some people mentioned in previous posts, if we are allowed to consume drinks, then I would definitely keep hydrated with water, fruit juice, vegetable juice, drinks like Ensure and pretty much any nutritious drink. If soup or broth is also allowed, I'd also drink chicken broth or just soup consisting of water and iodized salt (for the iodine). By this point, I'd probably drink melted chocolate along with lots of other melted things including ice cream, assuming that there aren't any budget issues or food shortages. ^^0

In other words, if I didn't have any budget or food shortage issues, for the first 3 days, I'll be fine subsisting on fruit juice (preferably real fruit juice but from concentrate would be fine too) and water. For the next 2 days, I'll need to drink something a bit more nutritious, like milk, soybean milk, coconut milk, yogurt or broth. For the last 2 days, I'll probably begin to drink sports drinks like Gatorade and vitamins in water. All throughout those days, I'll probably be randomly drinking iodized salt water, lots of water, and random drinks like hot chocolate with ginger, hot chocolate with milk, apple cider, ginger ale, lemon water, honey with lemon tea, banana smoothies (fruit smoothies), etc. If you don't have to limit your options and you don't mind testing new drink combinations, you can get creative with your drinks without having to resort to soda.

If I did have budget issues or food shortages for one week, I would just drink water, water with iodized salt, broth, whatever fruit/vegetable juice I can get my hands on (this would be a luxury though) and try to keep energy-consuming activities to a minimum. Sleeping through all this could help stave off the hunger for about half of the time, but not everyone can afford to do this, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that, especially if you have to be alert constantly.

Also, if you are being deprived of food, and you're a young, growing person, not receiving adequate nutrition could possibly have long-term negative effects on your development that might not be detected until you grow older. D= If your parents don't know, please tell them that current research shows your childhood days are the ones that matter the most in terms of how healthy you'll be later in life. Having you not go hungry now is way better than allowing you to go hungry later (by that point, you could probably better supply yourself with food anyways). In old age, you'll probably suffer fewer colds and illnesses as well. It's been mentioned that trying to make up for the loss by eating more (nutritiously too) later in life will not work since the harm's already done.

Please pardon the long post ^^0 Just thought I'd list a few of the drinks I used when I went through my own tests years ago. There were other things I tried, such as sunflower seed oils, fish oils, sesame oil, and soy sauce but I doubt you'd consider any of those drinkable, so I didn't bother adding them to the lists above. I also didn't drink any alcoholic beverages or plain sugar water. In case you're wondering, my tests had nothing to do with fasting or religion, just simple curiosity. Hope everything works out for you! It's possible to not eat and only drink for a week or two, but it's not easy and I wouldn't care to repeat those tests if I can help it, nor would I recommend those tests to anyone else. As some people mentioned, (even with distractions) some minds will eventually begin to obsess over food. In one of my tests, I actually ended up writing a 50+ page story filled with references to... yes, food and fruits. ^^

I'm not sure if I could survive an entire week without eating anything. The most I've ever gone without eating anything is about 30 hours ( give or take ). When I was younger, my family took a trip to Buffalo by car. It took us two days to get there, and I was really sick. All I drank was water and an occasional Gatorade.

Anyways, if I could only drink something without eating, I would drink mostly these Boost energy drinks that my wife gets all the time. They seem to do the best filling me up whenever I'm hungry. I would probably have some Gatorade and/or Powerade with me too.

Honestly that would be kind of hard for me. I am overweight but I don't eat a ton, my weight is due to my medications mainly. If I had to go without food though for a week I would probably be in utter pain and agony. Food is part of my everyday life and I love it so much. If I had to live without it, even for a week it would be quite hard and frustrating. I hope that I never have to go without food.

Been there, done that, and the 'week' lasted 3 and a half months.  I lived off of water and the occasional watered-down smoothie, because my body wouldn't allow me to eat anything.

Wound up losing a lot of weight and finally getting a doctor to realize there was something wrong with me. Aaaand three years later, I still can't eat much even though they fixed the problem.

I don't eat much anyway. I usually skip breakfast and have small lunch and dinner portions. I don't snack all that much either. So, not being able to eat for a week would probably be okay for me.

I choose not to eat much. I started last year when I got conscious about my weight, to the point where I ate almost nothing. On top of that, food in general made me feel sick. Not a good idea. I was out with my family and nearly passed out in the middle of the town from my lack of food. I lost a lot of weight too, which I was happy about but my family, even today, are still worried about how much I have lost.

And here I am today, still not eating much but much healthier.

If I had to go a week without eating, I'd probably live off chocolate milkshakes. They are so good

I would feed of the energy of the universe.

That and drink lots of milk and beer. Not together, of course. Also, juices, especially V8, to get enough vitamins.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
