treos : To be fair about the controller smashing, i have anger problems, always have, have to take pills to control, but i have broke a few controllers in my time, and FF13 really should just be Final Hallway 13, if its being honest

spenser1151 : All I remember the most frustrating Game I ever played was Pokemon Trozei and Mario Kart games. Pokemon Trozei's Bosses are really annoying, as they can revive themselves if they have very low HP. As for Mario Kart games, when you're 1st place, Blue Shell can attack U. (This happens especially on 50CC Difficulty mode, as it is the easiest one).

Every single Mega Man game ever. It's the hardest game series and you have to be good at dodging and aiming to successfully beat the games. Other than that, I have to say every kaizo hack ever made. I know, not that imaginative, but I don't really go out of my way to play hard games (unless it's Mega Man) so that's all I have.

I've recently been playing the indie game VVVVVV. And, let me tell you, it is one of the most frustrating games I have ever played. You have to use gravity to your advantage. It's one of those rage games. However, if I keep trying, I eventually get through it.

I could say all mega man games for nintendo. Some ninja gaiden games for nintedo. But I think to me the most frustrating game for me was Double Dragon 3. Seem like the first two were easier to play. Then I played Double Dragon 3 I think you didn't have many men as the others and difficult was great. Get lucky to get past the first stage. It took some getting use to. I didn't understand what they did with Double Dragon 3 like they left some stuff out.

Demon Souls is probably my vote for most frustrating game.
Not only is this game extremely hard, but the thing that's supposed to help you (other player's tags) seem like misinformation or blatantly  obvious and don't help at all.

The most frustrating game I ever played was Brink for Xbox 360. Game was a broken mess from the start and very bland in gameplay. I only had enough money for one game during that time and made feel like it was such a waste. I took it back to the video game store after 2 days. First time I ever did that with a game.

spenser1151 : Never said I didn't like it, but its definitely frustrating.
I dunno how many times I read a message that said "watch out" in front of a gigantic hole and rolled my eyes or saw a message that said something like "use fire" and a dragon kills me.

I've never had to resist throwing a controller at my TV so many times in 1 hour.

And yet...I still come back for more. xD

Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World for the PS2. I raged back in 6th grade and the L1 button no longer works. Even on the Very Easy difficulty, it was way too difficult for its own good.

the most frustrating game I've ever played is definitely Superman 64 I remember how hard it was to get through those rings and how terrible the controls were. I couldn't play it anymore after about a day.

vanelan : The frustration is the draw of the game.
When you die, you feel that you could easily have done something a different way, though most of time you will still die in an insane number of ways.  Usually you will die by something that shouldn't have killed you, like one of the easier enemies, like the zombie soldiers.

Right now I'm going to have to say The Impossible Game. I did beat it multiple times, but it takes so long and thousands of deaths.

Usually if a game gets me frustrated, I just walk away from it, sometimes for a couple of months before I try to play it again. That what I had to do for Kya: Dark Lineage  for PS2, when I came back to it I restarted the whole game and beat it. You wouldn't think that walking away would give anyone that much of a difference in playing a game, but it seems to work with me. The game that I've had probably the most frustration with would have to be Final Fantasy 10, I'm not very good at Blitz-ball and I get frustrated with other things in the game too. It's been awhile since I've played it or else I would list some of the other things that caused me frustration with the game and I know that there are people who have beaten the game, but it just seems to cause be trouble.

There are several. Most of them were so frustrating I can't even remember their names.

For those I do remember, Sonic 2 comes to mind. I could never manage to get through Chemical Plant 2 because I couldn't jump on those moving platforms. Fortunately, my sister sometimes helped me

Vandal Hearts 2 was impossibly difficult. Not only are your allies and the enemy moving
at the same time, making the planning of attacks tedious, but there is one fight where you fight three bosses at the same time. There is also a resurrecting priest at the other end of the field...

Probably Kid Icarious for the NES.

Just keep moving up, man what fun.

What HARD.

To take one hit, and get knocked down to an INSTA DEATH.

But what great times~! Man, I love tough games, they're so much more rewarding, you start to appreciate new content when you find it in those game to cause it's so hard to reach.

But those bunnies. . . . if they hit you, they stole your items and ran off with em.

How annoying after you got the fire arrow, or upgraded bow!

Ugh. . . .

And they were SO hard to get in the first place!

I would Say Zelda 2 here, but it's really just getting used to the pace of the game and such, plus I actually beat this game.

Kid Icarious I didn't, though that was more because I found the dungeons all too similar and the 4th one was a drag.

Eirinn :

I find Zelda games have trouble pacing themselves right. Too much boring stuff in between dungeons.

I think Zelda's Strong point in a series is exploration. Which is great, but as a result, it makes backtracking, and second playthrough's boring.

As a result, Nintendo either:

A: Needs to make the games focuses on how the engine could be used for a multiplayer battle system of sorts so that you can still have fun with your favorite characters even after beating the game

or. . . .

B: Make the game include more action centered fun in these overworld areas. That way things are still spicy in susequent playthroughs. After all, this is why we keep playing Star Fox. Dogfighting is straight up fun. I'm certain swordfighting has the same qualities involved if looked upon and utilized.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

Sword legion : Indeed, look at the Bushido Blade games, they're a blast even after you finish all of the story lines. Multiplayer would be even more fun, I'm sure. It has multiplayer, but I never had anyone to try it with.

Another game worth mentioning here is Contra. One-hit deaths. Enough said. Though it doesn't hurt to mention the endless swarms of enemies and intense boss fights. Still can't believe I beat that one.
