You can play with other people on this website. It is called netplay. It requires someone to make a netplay session (it may cost you some Viz unless you have a special item from the item shop to make the session for free). Lots of games have multiplayer games on this website but beware that Nintendo 64 games on netplay can be awfully laggy.

Go to the game that supports netplay, scroll down until you see 'Netplay Sessions' and from there, you'll be able to create one.
Here are some of the suppoted systems:

NES (Nintendo Entertainment System)
SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
N64 (Nintendo 64)
Sega Genesis
And some other systems

Some systems doesn't support netplay, such as GBA (sadly)..
