Today at Gamescom, Atari announced a new game in their Rollercoaster Tycoon series, titled Rollercoaster Tycoon World. The game is expected to release next year.

Thoughts?

I'm real excited for this game. If I had a computer I'd be beyond overjoyed.

I remember playing that as a kid, the thought of another on pc makes me both happy and sad.
Im excited to see what it will look like. I hope its not like a glorified pay to play game, that was my immediate concern when I saw you could visit other peoples parks and share blueprints.
My pc is overkill for such a simple game, but its an oddly addictive series.

Personally, I have been a fan of this series in the past (although I don't really play RCT games anymore, not really sure why), but I do like to get back to the series once again, and with RCT World coming out, I think I might like this. Plus it's been like 10 years since we seen a RCT game released for PC and I think it's about time they release one.

As long that Atari doesn't bomb the game like they did with the Mobile version, if Atari goes in the same direction they went with RCT 3, with a lot more features, a lot more rides, and a lot more interesting stuff, I think this will be the best game they release
