This game is a very valid attempt to make Pokémon X and Y for vizzed. I have to say, I'm not very amused.
Overall:6.7
Overall, this game was okay but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody because there are times when the game breaks for no reason and the Pokemon just randomly come in Mega evolution. This ruins a lot of the fun of the Pokemon X and Y game for the DS, also the first route is just loaded with strong Pokemon with low levels and that just doesn't make sense. There were some good aspects of the game, the story line is not changed much so that's pretty good. It's also a very nice try to put gen 6 into gen 3 form which is all we can really support here. Maybe he could have changed the sprites a little so they look like the X and Y characters. Anyway, onward with the review.
Graphics:5 Well, the sprites are not to bad but the game is loaded with glitches and mistakes. There are signs you can walk through without a problem, maybe the game should have made your character a ghost! When I was in the middle of a battle I threw a Pokemon that I didn't have in place of the Pokemon I tried to call. This doesn't happen too often but it does happen enough to where it can annoy you, also the Pokemon I threw had the same move set.. but a different Pokemon showed up on my screen. I suppose that's pretty bad but let's look at a good thing in this game.
Sound:9 All right, the sound was just like an average Pokemon game. That hasn't changed, the sound is still the same when you enter a route and battle Pokemon. I really like that even with all the glitches the hacker still took the time to make sure the sound was good. It's not easy trying to Rom Hack something and try to make it like Gen 6. Even with all this hard work, it sadly wasn't addictive.
Addictiveness:6
After you beat the game you can still wonder around and complete your Pokedex, but that's fairly hard considering that the Mega evolution are separate at times. Also, keep in mind the game is riddled with Glitches. It's really hard for me to ply a game that has so many glitches (walking though signs and buildings at times) therefore, I wouldn't really play it again. Which is a first for Pokemon and I, I always play even after I beat the game to make the perfect team, or catch the legendary Pokemon. I suppose if you overlook all the glitches, I would play it again.
Story:8
The story here hasn't changed much at all, actually it hasn't changed at all! It's just like Pokemon Emerald. That's a really bad thing, it doesn't feel like X and Y! The mega evolution Pokemon in the wild take the fun out of finding mega stones. In the 3DS version of Pokemon X and Y, the 3rd gym leader gives you Lucario with a Mega stone, but at the same time you can just find one in the wild. That takes a lot of emotions out of the player for working so hard and getting a very good Pokemon with a mega stone. This is good because at least we know the Hacker took a lot of time into thinking about this game, and putting it into a 3rd gen form.
Depth:7
The game still has a lot to offer the player even though the game is glitched. It's still like an average Pokemon game in that aspect, therefore it gets a higher rating. Take away the glitches, it'd be about a 9. The game itself takes a little while to beat and has a lot to do, you can still complete the Pokedex and that's always a Pokemon classic, this game doesn't feel much different than Emerald.
Difficulty:7
This game wasn't very hard at all. It's like Pokemon Emerald with the level of difficulty. The only hard part is getting lost in the cave, and that can get very annoying for anybody. The difficulty would be a 6, but since there are times when the game randomly shut down or froze on me for no reason it got a 7 for the glitches itself, that made it fairly hard to play it.
To summarize it up, if you can ignore all the glitches and just play the game you'll have a fairly good time, but the fact that most megas just show up in the wild took away some of the fun for me and it might take it away for you. It won't feel the same. I love the attempt to make a Gen 6 game come to Vizzed and therefore, I give the game credit. I knew somebody would make this someday and I was happy to review it. If the author patched up the glitches we have a very great game-Jermelle MacLeod This game is a very valid attempt to make Pokémon X and Y for vizzed. I have to say, I'm not very amused.
