tgags123 : I'd say that is a smart move. Around this time, I wouldn't just sit around and not compete with the competition getting tighter. (especially people like me grabbing points like nothing.)

tgags123 : yeah, I mean, I can't blame you for grabbing a couple of points. And I am not going for the blue. I just thought I would take 2nd in yellow and blue to maintain my overall lead in yellow, and my 2nd place in blue.

tgags123: Did you not just make a thread about that exact thing a few days ago? And I just wrote a 850 word movie review. I deleted it. Thank goodness I had to write it in Word to do something. The font was all weird when I tried to write it in the Vizzed one.

David may have won the Red tonight, but I got green, thanks to kramer suddenly disappearing. Not only that, I'm #4 overall. I'm most likely getting 100 points or more. Getting closer to Rainbow, awkwardly enough.

legacyme3 : Thanks. Actually I'm not really even trying to earn points for the Red Jersey, I just have 100s of games I need to add to the site as quickly as I can since I want to have them ready before August so that I can send out an email newsletter letting everyone know about all the new systems and games added to Vizzed lately, hoping that'll increase the site's traffic and revenue.

The site's revenue has been down this summer, probably lower this summer than the past few summers. I've invested all kinds of money into site related things (which includes competitions, advertising, etc) since I wasn't expecting to have bad earnings this summer but thankfully the site has received lots of donations lately, definitely helps out.

Anyways, that's the real reason behind why I've been getting so many points for the Red Jersey lately but I'm not going to lie, earning the Red Jersey is awesome and earning points for the Red Jersey competition is definitely motivation to continue finding and adding games.

I mean, I would think Summer 2012 was one of the most active summers we have had on Vizzed, in terms of the board, but I'd imagine the revenue primarily comes from the RGR.

And with the ever growing number of members joining Vizzed, I would think the RGR's activity would be going up.

Davideo7 : I just posted a referral link to the RGR to the few Facebook pages that I admin. Those post should reach up to about 40,000 people. Besides, not only am I helping you, but I get some green points if those links get enough clicks. 

And yeah... the red looks a lot better on you than the yellow does. 

legacyme3 : The traffic right now is less than the traffic it was at last summer, we still haven't fully recovered from the traffic drop that happened at the end of July (but we're getting there). The revenue took a huge hit in 2012 when I was forced to find a different ad company (Google Adsense pays way more than anyone else). Also can't forget increased server fees.

Don't get me wrong, the site isn't in a financial crisis or anything but I just want to get a bigger budget so that I can invest into more things and expand more. I love hosting competitions with cash prizes but I just need to be conservative on how often and how much.

Singelli : Yeah, that is not gonna happen. The site would freak the heck out. It would basically be a 4 way fight for blue. tgags123 is sure be getting antsy with David gaining ground. And Barathemos is determined to take the all time blue jersey lead from me, so I can't let him do that. Also, I am trying to keep 3rd in the Tour de Vizzed, and maybe sneak into 2nd somehow. So a 4 way fight for blue? While it would fun, I can not see it happening.
