I came to this hack, hoping to find something that resembled X and Y.  I was disappointed.  The plot was unchanged, as far as I could tell.  The hacked in sprites looked okay, but the world had a lot of mistakes, like signs the player character was able to walk through.  The towns were renamed to X and Y towns, but said towns did not look all that different from their Emerald counterparts.  To me, the biggest turn off was the movepools of the hacked Pokémon.  Fennekin started with Pound and Growl instead of Scratch and Tail Whip.  Level 2 Espurr were using Psychic.  A little deviation was expected, due to later generation attacks, but what I saw was highly inaccurate and unbalanced.  Also, fully evolved Pokémon showed up in the wild.  It was as if the hacker put little effort into researching movesets and trying to balance the game.  I might consider replaying this if the movesets were fixed and the balance issues addressed.

This review makes the game sound worse than Bubsy 3D since it really didn't have a lot of thought in to it

First, as a fellow game hacker, I want to point out how incredibly hard it is. It isn't as easy as just saying "Yeah, I want to do this" and then it happens. It takes a lot of time and effort, and there are bound to be some errors. Now, the move pool thing I understand. That is easy to change, and should be 100% accurate, or at least close to it.

Now, about your review. You did a nice job with it, even though it was short. It did seem like something was missing, though. In the future, you should try to fill your reviews with as much detail as you can, so that you can really give the reader some insight as to what the game is about, and whether or not it is worth trying.

Hello there, may I give you a few words of advice on your review? First off,  I am glad that you at least made the 100 word minimum because that is one of the things you are expected to do when writing a review. One thing I would definitely recommend is breaking your review down into categories such as graphics, sound, addictiveness, etc and then talk about each one in detail from there.

You should always explain yourself and your reasoning in your review, say for instance you score the graphics a 9 and you just talk about the graphics themselves, you aren't really explaining why you gave them a 9 rather than a 10 or a different score, which is something you should always try to do in a game review, explain what was good/ bad about that particular part of the game and then why you gave it the score you did.

Organization wise, just break it down into groups and make sure the font is easy to read, it is well spaced out rather than one block of text. That's pretty much it for the most part,  with practice and repetition, I am sure you will drastically improve with your reviews. If you need any further help on how to write a game review, just check out this thread: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=58382  as well as any other professionally written reviews.

I would never expect a hack from a gen 3 game to look anything like a gen 6 game, that's really how it goes, and like what tgags said, every small thing is hard to do, even just renaming the towns requires a lot of stuff.

I'm not going to say much against the review itself because this is just your 2nd post, but try to make it longer, give some details on whether or not the sprites look good, or if the music is changed, etc.

This game was okay for a gen 6 game that's supposed to work on vizzed, I would recommend it to anybody because of the glitches, but the whole game wasn't that bad o.o
