A new game for the Wii U was announced at Nintendo's E3 2014 "Press Conference", named Splatoon. This game is basically paintball in a CoD kind of style. Splatoon is mainly aiming for online play, rather than just single player. I like to think of this game as Nintendo's CoD. The only difference is that you turn into a..uh..squid. (Don't ask. I don't know either.) Other than random option to turn into a squid, the game actually looks really promising, and if I had a Wii U, I'd buy it. The game is set to release sometime in the first half of 2015. What are your thoughts on this game? Basically, you have to make the battlefield your color, to do that, you must shoot the ground or walls and stuff. Now for the answer to your question. You first have to make a trail of some sort with your color by using your paintball gun, (You can only change into a squid when you are on your team's color.) and only then you can transform into a squid that will dive and dissapear into your paint, and reappear again out of the paint, and continue to dive in and out like a dolphin. I saw this on a live E3 stream. I was a bit confused at first, and I thought it seemed like a dumb game. But then I watched further and figured it could be good. I... really can't think of anything else to say. It seems very unique.

I like it so far and I'll probably pick it up if it gets good reviews though I'm really curious if there will be a campaign of some sort or not as charging full price for just the multiplayer would  be a bit much in my opinion. I'm also excited about Nintendo actually producing a new IP that is a full console release.

Yeah, I remember this being shown on E3. I thought it was going to be another game that wouldn't seem interesting at all since most things that have been revealed left me rather unimpressed. I was wrong about this one, it looks somewhat promising to me. I like to play these type of games with my friends or brothers. Playing by myself, the game might get dull pretty quickly. Unless the online mode is fun to spend countless hours on.
