This will sound weird at first, but I don't use shampoo, except maybe once every two months. As long as you bathe regularly, at least every other day, not shampooing won't do any damage. In fact, regular shampoo use is the reason for dry hair shampoos and conditioner. The only reason for the two month shampooing is to prevent dandruff.

Recently, I have started to use Irish springs, I really like the scent it has and it isn't overpowering, but it is nice and crisp and it leaves you feeling clean afterwards. I would have to say that I like it better than the shampoo I was using prior. I got two bottles of this stuff, and they both smell great.

MaijjikalMotart : No worries, it's just some advice I was given, and I have suspicions, which is why I'm using it in more controlled amounts and alternating days, if you want some real advice, use cold water to wash your hair, it makes it nice and fluffy and your scalp doesn't get scalded, which could cause dandruff.

Before then, when I was still living with my parents, I remember I had to use whatever shampoo my mom had. Its not like it was a girl shampoo, it just didn't smell right. It good smell good, nonetheless. It smelled TOO good, if you know what I mean. In my opinion, the Axe shampoo that I use smells really good for males. It almost smells like cologne, sort of.

Honestly, I use whatever is cheapest. I prefer getting 2 - in - 1 shampoos, but I am thinking about changing that, and getting my bottles separate, in terms of shampoo and conditioner. I have long hair, so conditioner is important.
