Pokemon Platinum.

I love all the additions compared to the original Diamond/Pearl. And they sped the game up (HP bar going down in D/P, remember?) so yeah, Platinum.

I love all the pokemon games though, mainstream or spin off.

I really like both Pokemon crystal and pokemon emerald. Pokemon crystal for basically the same reason pokemon x said, and pokemon emerald just because it is a lot of fun and I personally like the graphics from it as well.

As for hacks, I would have to say light platinum because it is so broad and there is a lot to do to keep you busy. It's a tough call though since there are a lot of great hacks out there.
