Captain Hazama of the Novus Orbis Librarium's intelligence division and superior to many of the other officers in the game, such as Noel Vermillion, Tsubaki Yayoi, Makoto Nanaya and countless other nameless members. However rank doesn't mean all that much to Hazama as he tends to take a more laid back approach to his job and claims "Fighting's really not my kind of thing." and would rather sit back and let others do his dirty work for him. He has shown large amounts of intelligence and cunning while on duty and has done his job well for many years. Many other members of the "NOL" have noted his "Snake like appearance" and are usually terrified of him for one reason or another, even if they can't really name why.

Hazama however is not his real name and is little more than a mask to him, personality and all. Hazama or should I say Yuki Terumi is a sadistic and murderous maniac,(And the main antagonist of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift/ Extend.) and anyone who sees through his guise will know it. Terumi was one of the six-heroes who slew the black beast (Although he was responsible for making it in the first place, as little more than a playful experiment.) (Also the black beast is a monster that ravaged the world for years until humanity finally stopped it with the help of the "Six heroes.")

Hazama/ Terumi has been alive for countless centuries and is responsible for quite a lot of things, such as creating the BlazBlue (Which he of course kept a copy of.), the Novus Orbis Librium and its rival "Sector Seven", he is responsible for brainwashing Jin Kisaragi (Ragna's brother. Ragna is the main character and holder of an Azure Grimoire AKA BlazBlue.) into cutting off his Ragna's arm, for kidnapping and cloning Saya (Ragna's and Jin's sister.) and manipulating almost every character to suit his desires.

Personality: Under the alias as Hazama Terumi seems incredibly easy going and peace loving, sly, and witty. However we will defend himself he usually tries to remain under the mask of Hazama if he can. People almost always have a feeling of fear around him for one reason or another that they can't explain.

However as Terumi he displays a sadistic love for violence and pain, be it physical or psychological if not both. He is often considered the "Troll" of BlazBlue for this as he is incredibly skilled at creating the hatred the rest of the cast holds for him which binds him to this world.

-------------------------

Apperance: Hazama's appearance is taken after the shady, creepy archetype. He is depicted with bright green hair and an ever-present smile with his eyes closed, belying a demonic nature. He wears a simple black suit with a white shirt underneath, short brown gloves, and brown steel-toed shoes. He dons a pair of black trousers held up by two brown belts. He completes the outfit with a black fedora hat to close the shady visage. When allowing Terumi to take over his form, he removes his hat and tie, his hair spikes upward, and he opens his eyes, which are gold with snake-like slits for pupils. His smile also becomes that of a psychopathic killer.

--------------------------

Playstyle: Hazama is a Rushdown/ Zoning character, he cannot dash towards an enemy, therefore he is limit to only hop towards and away from his opponent, however he is still one of the most mobile characters in the game if not the most mobile due to his "Drive attack" Ouroboros which he can use to attack his opponent and move around the map with ease.

On top of this Hazama has a large amount of "Mix-ups" (Mix-ups are when you strike high and low in an abnormal but "safe" pattern while an enemy is blocking.) and the majority of them are devastating making him one of the most fearsome close range characters. Not to mention the fact he can combo off of a long range Ouroboros and zone in rip the opponent to shreds up close and personal.

However without have a meter or rather "Heat gauge" that is at least 50% full he lacks any really good defensive options making him much more of an offense heavy character, however this shouldn't be too terrible of a set back if you are both careful and use your move set to the best of your ability.

All in all though Hazama is considered a top tier character and holds his own fairly well against almost everyone in the cast, I personally think he's a great character to learn if you're up for it.

----------------------------

My combo list: Okay, first off I'm going to need to explain how this works, when I say a number look at your "numpad" and compare it to either a joystick or a Directional pad, for example 2 would be "crouching" or rather pressing down on whatever you use.

Also I will be using A, B, C, and D a lot here. A = light/ X (For the 360)/ square(For the PS3/ vita), B = medium/ Y/ triangle, C = heavy/ B/ circle, D = Drive/ A/ X(PS3).

An example of a special attack would be 236D which is Hazama's "Venom sword", the input would be identical to a Hadouken if you are familiar with Street Fighter in the slightest. If you are not simply the attack starts with you pressing down on your joystick/ D-pad and then moving until you are moving forward and quickly pressing your D button. (Please note these combos all assume you are on the left side of the screen in "Player ones" starting position.)

NOTES:

Attack > attack X(insert number) = use an attack or series of attacks as many times as stated.

(text) = whatever's listed in the parentheses is optional

tk = doing a jumping special move as close to the ground as possible. Usually performed by a 2147 or 8/9214 motion with the joystick or pad.

CU = cross-under (mainly for 6C after Zaneiga)

jc = jump cancel

[AA] = anti-air combo; opponent is in the air at the start of the combo

> = cancel into next move

CH = counter hit starter

j.214B* = j.C x 5 > j.214B

j.214B# = j.B > j.C x 2 > jc > j.C x 5 > j.214B

Damage: 3220, Heat Gain: 49 (Deadly backwards ground combo, it's a rather advance combo and will take a lot of practice to master.)

2A > 5B > (5C) > (2C) > 3C > 236D
Damage: 1022, Heat Gain: 8(Basic pressure tool, if 2A > 5B is blocked I recommend dashing forward and repeating 2A > 5B a couple times and throwing in a grab or a overhead/trip, this usually gets me a couple good combos a match.)

6A > 236236B > dash (S)214D~C > 6C > dash 5C > 2C > tk j.214B > dash 5C > j.C x 5 > (dash) 2C > tk j.214B > dash 5C > j.C x 5 > 5C > 214D~B > 3C

---------------------------

Well, that's pretty much all I have to mention here, I'll probably make a match-up guide to offer some tips when you fight certain characters, either way, let me know what you think. Or if you have the game hit me up for a match some time, I would love to play anyone, I don't really care if they could whip me around, I just want to have a good time.

Anyway, I would love some feed back and tips on how to improve what I've written here, and if anyone who isn't interested in the game at all has read this far I thank you (And am curious as to why you have.) for reading my guide, be sure to offer some feed back if you can. Enjoy.
