(Not sure where to put this, thought this works. If needed, move this thread please.) Today, I will be making a list. This list will consist of the best, most iconic, Normal type Pokemon moves. It will be a Top 10 list. Without further ado, let's start this list! Number 10- Bind I will never forget this move. As a kid, watching the anime as Onyx squeezed Ash's Pikachu half to death. Then playing the game and fighting a wild Pokemon, and feeling it was unfair how it deals damage over time. Really, it's not that overpowered. It is however, definitely iconic from all the anime episodes that utilize it. Number 9- Secret Power This one used to excite me. The fact that it would take the form of a different move depending on your location was an interesting thing that changed the game a little. The fact that a normal type move could take on a Fighting type and come out on top? That's what made this move iconic. Because, who doesn't wanna smack around a Gurdurr with a Linoone once in a while? Number 8-Smelling Salts, or SmellingSalt This move isn't necessarily iconic. It is just... strange. Introduced during Sapphire and Ruby, Smelling Salts does double damage against a paralyzed target then... Heals it of paralysis. Yep. This move is just strange. In my opinion, that uniqueness makes it iconic. Number 7- Sand Attack Imagine booting up your game. Ruby or Sapphire, more precisely, because those games spam this move. You get your starter, battle May, yada yada yada. Then, you run into a Poochyena. And it seems that all they do is spam this move. They don't even bother to Tackle you. They just lower your accuracy. Soon, you won't be able to even hit them. That is what makes this move frustratingly iconic. Number 6- Recover This move is very iconic in the anime. Run into a Staryu? Staryu used Recover! Run into a Solosis? Watch it use Recover! And it is one of the most useful moves in the game, too! Run into a tough foe? Low on health points? Why don't you... Recover? That, my Vizzed friends, is why this move is iconic. Number 5- Slash This move is iconic as one of the higher tier Normal moves. It does a lot of damage, and guess what? It makes your critical hit chance raise! This move has gotten so spammy (in my opinion), that without the crit chance it's iconic. Awesome normal move that's earned my respect. Number 4- Self-Destruct Wow. This knows how to crush your dreams. Down to your last Pokemon? Know that if you take down that Golem, you'll wipe the rest of the opponent's team? And guess what, he pulls a Self-Destruct, taking both of you out. Great. That's what makes Self-Destruct iconic. Number 3- Transform A move known by one Pokemon. Ditto. It lets him copy other Pokémon's DNA and copy them. Perfectly. Facing a Dragon type? Transform, then use Dragon Claw. Your guaranteed to win in a battle like that. Transform is an iconic move for all Ditto fans, and all Pokemon fans in general. Number 2- Quick Attack Not much to say. This move always goes first, and is probably one of the first moves your Pokemon learns. You spam it at the beginning of the game. This move is iconic. Which leads us to... Number 1- Tackle Hey. I said iconic, not powerful, which means Tackle takes the cake. The first move you starter knows, regardless of the game, is Tackle. It can be frustrating. But as you play Pokemon, you learn to bear it, and then it grows on you. You spam it on your first ever fight in every game, what's not iconic about it?
