SPOILERS WILL BE UNMARKED FROM HERE ON. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEATEN SUPERSTAR SAGA, DO NOT READ ON.

Now, since I assume that everyone reading this has at LEAST beaten the game once. Without further ado, here are the locations of one time items, as well as a few missables.

BOSS GEAR/BADGE DROPS

LUCKY BROS.
LOCATION: TEEHEE VALLEY

Trunkle drops this. In the hammerhead bros. cave, you can pay a thwomp 200 coins to play a game, which gives you a chance of earning Secret Scroll 1, making mario learn Swing Bros.  Advance it and you can steal items. Target Trunkle's body (not his head) and successfully
use it to steal this badge from him.

SPINY BADGE A
LOCATION: BEANBEAN IN'TL AIRPORT
Mom Piranha ALWAYS drops this, however, you can also steal it if you've managed to obtain Secret Scroll 1 before this point. If you don't have it, don't worry, because if you don't steal it she ALWAYS drops this. This is the only place to get it, so don't sell it.

LUCKY RIBBON (NOT the same as Lucky Bros.!)
LOCATION: GWARHAR LAGOON
Hermie the Third may randomly drop this after his battle. To make sure you get this, just steal it from him. Stealing it from him is the only way to make him 100% drop this. He may not drop it if you don't steal it.

PIRANHA SWING
LOCATION: BEANBEAN OUTSKIRTS
Always dropped by the Piranha Bean if you don't have the GameBoy Horror SP equipped. If you get this, you can't get the Piranha Suit.

PIRANHA SUIT
LOCATION: BEANBEAN OUTSKIRTS
This is where it gets tricky. You can't steal this from him (Luigi alone has to battle the Piranha Bean). You have to have the Gameboy Horror SP equipped to Luigi to get this. To get the Gameboy Horror SP, make one blend of each type of coffee, on the last brew, E. Gadd will give you his portrait, and the Gameboy Horror SP. It's extremely hard to do, but it's possible. You need 35 Hoo Beans (only hidden in random blocks)  and by the time you can fight the Piranha Bean, you can only access 38 Hoo Bean blocks. Brewing the rest of the drinks should be obvious. If you get this, you can't get the Piranha Swing. It is identical to the Wool Trousers, and lets both brothers wear a version of it.

SLEDGE HEART
LOCATION: JOKE'S END
When you battle the end boss of this location, be sure you pull off Advanced Swing Bros. on her friend to successfully steal this. It's identical to the Piranha Swing, so you can nab the Piranha Suit, but functionally not miss the Piranha Swing.

BOWSER FIST
LOCATION: BOWSER'S CASTLE
This badge is obtained if you defeat Morton with one of the bros having the Gameboy Horror SP equipped. If you used swing bros. advanced, there's a chance you WON'T steal this, meaning that this item will be lost forever! It makes counterattacks very powerful.

BOWSER FANG
LOCATION: BOWSER'S CASTLE
This badge is obtained exactly like the Bowser Fist, but you obtain it by beating Roy instead. This badge gives one of the highest BP boosts in the entire game, boosting it by a whooping 50(!!).

DO NOT EVER SELL THESE BADGES/GEAR!

NEVER SELL THESE BADGES

SPINY BADGE A
LOCATION: BEANBEAN IN'TL AIRPORT
You only receive this badge once unless you abuse a glitch, so do NOT sell this.

BEAN BADGE
LOCATION: BEANBEAN CASTLE
Mario's first badge can't be obtained anywhere else, so don't sell this.

HIGH-END BADGE
LOCATION: TEEHEE VALLEY
As mini-mario, you can enter a cave around Teehee Valley, and complete a jumping challenge to get this badge from a Monty Mole. This is one of a kind.

BROS. ROCK
LOCATION: BEANBEAN CASTLE TOWN
Complete the quest the elder gives you, and give him all 10 beanstones to receive this badge. One of a kind, and hard to get, so don't sell.

SOULFUL BROS.
LOCATION: GWARHAR LAGOON
After Hermie III is defeated, return here once you obtain Ultra Hammers, and look for any black rocks you can destroy. Once you do, you might find a starfish, who wants a stage. Bring him to Hermie, and Hermie III will reward you with this badge. Don't sell.

NEVER SELL THESE PIECES OF EQUIPMENT

WORK PANTS
LOCATION: Mario begins the game with these equipped
It might be the worst piece of armor, but you can't receive this anywhere else, so do NOT sell it.

WORK JEANS
LOCATION: Luigi begins the game with these equipped
Like the Work Pants, but these are Luigi only.

WOOL TROUSERS
LOCATION: BEANBEAN OUTSKIRTS
These function exactly like the Piranha Suit. To get it, look in a hidden cave near Yoshi Theatre.

IRON PANTS
LOCATION: BEANBEAN OUTSKIRTS
Located RIGHT next door to the cave where you received the Wool Trousers. These boost gravity, making jumps more effective, but harder to time correctly. Mario only.

HARHALL'S PANTS
LOCATION: HARHALL'S STUDIO
After you get the Beanstar Piece from him, leave the area and come back. He'll task you with making every possible design with every possible color. After you complete this task, he'll leave, but not before giving you these. They randomize gravity, making you either lighter or heavier, and are Mario only. They also give a MASSIVE HP boost.

CASUAL CORAL
LOCATION: OHO OCEAN

Complete the Surfing Game near Oho Oasis, popping every balloon in under 39 seconds for the first time, and the Oho Jee there will hand you this, after telling you to stop. Getting under 39 seconds again will just give you more beans (2 Woo, 2 Hoo, 2 Chuckle.) Never sell, but why would you anyway? This is one of the best equips in the game.

That's every missable item in the game. Phew. Be sure to post a reply if this helped you in any way!

This is a good guide, before I continue my post..

Local Mods :
Wouldn't it fit better in the Walkthrought guide forum thingy?
I don't know if it is possible to move it there and still have it on the main page though.

but yeah, one more thing, some people don't care about spoilers, but it's better to read it after you beat the game.
But it's a very good guide

Wow this is a great guide, everything is true as I have played this game as well.
I agree with James, this should be in the game guide section, this could be very useful.
